If you own a holiday home on a Blue Anchor Leisure park, there is an update worth reading about what you keep on your pitch. On Tuesday 20 October 2026, the operator published an owners' notice explaining that plastic storage units are not permitted on holiday home pitches under the conditions of its site licences.
What Blue Anchor Leisure has said
According to the notice on Blue Anchor Leisure's owners' news page:
- Plastic storage is not permitted on pitches. This includes plastic storage boxes, benches, sheds and other forms of plastic outdoor storage.
- Existing plastic storage must be removed. The operator says any plastic storage currently on a pitch must be removed so its parks remain compliant with the licence conditions.
- Metal storage units are permitted where additional outdoor storage is needed, subject to its usual Pitch Policy requirements.
- Check before you buy. If you are considering a new storage unit and are unsure whether it is suitable, Blue Anchor Leisure encourages owners to speak to its Pitch Policy team before purchasing or installing it.
Why it matters to the park
Blue Anchor Leisure explains that its site licences allow it to operate its holiday parks, and that failure to meet the conditions attached to them could put those licences at risk. It describes maintaining compliance as "extremely important".
The operator also acknowledges that some owners may already have plastic storage in place and that removing or replacing it may cause some inconvenience, and it thanks owners for their cooperation.
Practical steps for owners
- Take a look at your pitch. Check for plastic storage boxes, benches, sheds or other plastic outdoor storage.
- Plan any replacement. If you still need outdoor storage, metal units are permitted subject to the Pitch Policy requirements.
- Ask before buying. The Pitch Policy team can advise on whether a unit is suitable. Blue Anchor Leisure gives the number as 01754 897 897 for questions or further clarification.
Thinking ahead to a sale
Keeping your pitch in line with park rules may also be helpful if you decide to sell in future. It is worth checking with the park what applies to your own pitch.
