The Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) announced the winners of its 2026 Site Awards on 9 October 2026. The awards recognise the teams who run the Club’s own campsites, and this year’s headline is a Sustainability Award for Clumber Park Club Campsite in Nottinghamshire.

We have already written about the wider holiday park awards this year, including the inaugural Holiday Park Awards 2026 and the VisitEngland ROSE Awards 2026. The CAMC awards are different. They are internal awards for the Club’s own site teams, and they focus less on star ratings and more on the everyday work that shapes how a site feels.

Three categories for 2026

The Club says the 2026 awards had three main categories:

  • Sites in Bloom, the long running competition for floral displays
  • Inspirational Photograph Award, a new category introduced in 2026
  • Sustainability Award

Sites in Bloom and the Inspirational Photograph Award were judged by the Club’s Sites and Accommodation Users Committee. The Sustainability Award was judged by the Club’s Sustainability Team.

Clumber Park takes the Sustainability Award

According to the Club, the Sustainability Award celebrates environmental, social and economic commitment and community engagement across the campsite network. It looks at local initiatives such as wildflower planting, wildlife conservation features, waste reduction, supporting local businesses and fundraising or donating shop proceeds to local charities.

The 2026 winner is Clumber Park Club Campsite. The Club says the team secured top honours for their commitment to local sustainability projects and positive community engagement. The press release does not list the specific projects behind the win, so we have not tried to fill in that detail.

Sustainability is becoming a more visible part of how parks present themselves. For many holidaymakers, small touches such as wildflower areas, recycling and links with local businesses are now part of what makes a site feel well looked after.

Sites in Bloom winners

Sites in Bloom recognises teams who design and maintain floral displays for visiting members and guests. Entries were judged on submitted photographs, collages and video footage, with separate categories for single-couple and multi-couple managed sites.

  • Multi-couple winner: Battle Normanhurst Court Club Campsite in East Sussex. The Club says this is a first-time win for the team.
  • Single-couple winner: Englethwaite Hall Club Campsite in Cumbria, which the Club says continues its tradition of success in the competition.

The new Inspirational Photograph Award

New for 2026, this award highlights summer campsite staff who capture the landscapes, wildlife and facilities across the network. After shortlisting by Regional Managers, the committee picked first, second and third places across seven regions. The first place winners were:

  • Middle England and Anglia: Castleton Club Campsite
  • Southern: Broadway Club Campsite
  • South West: Dornafield Dartmoor Club Campsite
  • South East: Rookesbury Park Club Campsite
  • Scotland: New England Bay Club Campsite
  • Wales and West Midlands: Wirral Country Park Club Campsite
  • Northern: Coniston Park Coppice Club Campsite

Several teams did particularly well. Castleton and Coniston Park Coppice each took first and third in their regions, Dornafield Dartmoor took first and second with two separate entries, and Altnaharra took both second and third in Scotland. The full list of runners-up is on the Club’s press release.

Harvey Alexander, CEO of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, said the awards “highlight the incredible passion, care and creativity present across our entire campsite network”.

Why site teams matter

It is also worth noting the spread of winners. This year’s list runs from the Scottish Highlands to the South West coast and from Cumbria to East Sussex, which shows the awards reach well beyond the best known sites. Several teams placed more than once in their region by submitting separate entries, something the Club highlights in its announcement. For members, the results can be a handy prompt when planning trips, as they point to sites where the teams have clearly put in extra effort this season.

Awards like these are a reminder that the quality of a park is often down to the people running it day to day. Flower beds, wildlife areas and good photographs of a site do not happen by accident. For anyone choosing where to tour or where to keep a holiday home, a well cared for site is usually a good sign.

The Club’s own figures put its membership at over 1 million, and its press release lists membership at £69 per year (as stated on 9 October 2026).
