Selling a static caravan or lodge at a Wyldecrest holiday park is a licence-led sale. Wyldecrest publishes very little about how holiday home sales work, so what you can do, and what it costs, comes down to your own licence agreement and what the park tells you in writing.

This guide covers holiday static caravans and lodges only. Residential park homes are sold under different law and are not covered here. It is general guidance from a cash buyer of statics and lodges, not legal advice.

Quick answers for Wyldecrest holiday home sellers

  • Can I sell my holiday caravan or lodge? Yes, but the route depends on your licence agreement. Wyldecrest does not publish a group-wide private sale policy for its holiday parks.
  • Can it stay on the park? Only if your agreement and the park allow an on-pitch sale. Wyldecrest has said publicly that every sale is taken on its own individual basis and that there will be an age restriction for caravans.
  • Will the park charge commission? We found no published commission or transfer fee for Wyldecrest holiday parks. That does not mean there is none: ask the park in writing and check your agreement.
  • Can a trader or cash buyer collect it? Potentially, subject to your licence agreement and the park's rules on disconnection, removal and haulier access. Ask for those terms and charges in writing first.
  • What is it worth? On the pitch, it depends on your licence terms, any selling restrictions and whether the caravan may remain on the park. Off the park, make, age, size and condition, less removal costs. A free valuation gives you a real figure.
  • What if it is old? If an age restriction means it cannot stay, an older caravan may still have value off-site or through export to Europe.
  • What fees and costs apply? Any commission in your agreement (not published), outstanding site fees, and disconnection and removal charges if it leaves (not published).

Your selling routes at a Wyldecrest holiday park

  1. Private or on-park sale. Possible only where your licence agreement allows it. Ask whether the park must approve the buyer, whether it has first refusal and what fee applies.
  2. Part exchange with Wyldecrest. Wyldecrest says it accepts existing owners' holiday homes in part exchange for a new holiday home, with terms and conditions applying. We found no published buy-back scheme or price guide.
  3. Off-park sale to a trader or cash buyer. The caravan is disconnected and collected. Ask the park about disconnection and removal charges and haulier access. Our comparison of cash buyer, private sale and park sale explains how to compare the routes on what you actually keep.

Who Wyldecrest are

Wyldecrest Parks was founded in 2001 and started out specialising in residential parks before adding holiday parks. Its website describes it as having more than 100 residential and holiday parks across England, Scotland and Wales.

Wyldecrest's holiday park listings, checked 10 October 2026, show eight holiday parks:

  • Badgers Retreat Park, North Yorkshire, between the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors
  • Bockenfield Country Park, Felton, Northumberland
  • Bradgate Park, near Margate, Kent
  • Felmoor Park, Felton, Northumberland
  • Port Haverigg Marina Village, near Millom, Cumbria
  • Saltmarshe Castle Park, overlooking the Bromyard Downs and Malvern Hills, Herefordshire
  • Seaview Holiday Park, Sennen, near Land's End, Cornwall
  • St Lawrence Holiday Park, St Lawrence Bay on the Blackwater Estuary, Essex

Bockenfield and Felmoor are both near Felton in Northumberland. Wyldecrest's park-name listings treat them as two separate parks, but on its Our Parks page (checked 10 October 2026) the Bockenfield description appears under the Felmoor Park heading, alongside the Felmoor text. If you own at either, check which park is named on your licence agreement. Older Wyldecrest pages have also shown different lists, including parks such as Black Rock and St Cyrus, so always check which operator runs your park today.

Selling a holiday home at a Wyldecrest park

What Wyldecrest publishes

Wyldecrest's holiday park FAQ says each park has its own owner season, ranging from 48 to 52 weeks, and that parks cannot be used as a permanent residence. On ownership, it says you are buying a caravan holiday home or lodge "with the right to occupy a pitch of your choice for as long as you like", providing you pay the annual site fees and follow the park rules.

That sounds open-ended, but it is not the whole story. When Cornwall Live reported on owner complaints at Seaview Holiday Park in March 2026, Wyldecrest's head of holiday parks told the paper that every sale is taken on its own individual basis, that owners' licence agreements set out what they can and cannot sell, and that there will be an age restriction for caravans. In other words, your licence agreement is the rulebook, not the FAQ. The Seaview report is one attributed example, not group-wide policy.

Private sales and fees

We could not find a published Wyldecrest policy on private sales at its holiday parks, and no published commission, transfer fee or age limit that applies across the group. That does not mean there is none. It means you need to read your own agreement and ask the park in writing:

  • Can I sell on the pitch to a private buyer, and does the park need to approve them?
  • Is there a commission or transfer fee, and is VAT added?
  • Does the park have first refusal?
  • Is there an age limit on my caravan, and when does it bite?

The Seaview example shows why this matters. Owners there told Cornwall Live that a clause in their contract had stopped them selling privately. Wyldecrest's head of holiday parks said he had since given owners a 12-month amnesty to sell privately, with help from the park. Every park and agreement is different, so do not assume your situation matches anyone else's, but do get the answer in writing. Our guide to what to do if a park refuses a private sale may help if you hit a wall.

Part exchange

Wyldecrest says it accepts motorhomes, tourers, holiday homes on other parks and existing Wyldecrest owners' holiday homes in part exchange for a new holiday home, with terms and conditions applying. We did not find a published buy-back scheme or part-exchange price guide.

Pitch fees and season timing

Wyldecrest does not publish when holiday park site fees fall due or when they are reviewed. Ask your park for the date of your next invoice before you decide whether to sell this side of it. Site fees are a big part of the sums for any seller, as our guide to how site fees affect selling explains. If you plan to sell off the park, ask too about disconnection, removal charges and access for a haulier.

Frequently asked questions

Can I sell my Wyldecrest holiday caravan privately?

It depends on your licence agreement. Wyldecrest does not publish a general private sale policy for its holiday parks, so check your agreement and get the park's answer in writing.

Does Wyldecrest charge commission on a holiday home sale?

We found no published figure. Check your licence agreement and ask the park in writing whether any commission or transfer fee applies, and whether VAT is added.

Is there an age limit on Wyldecrest holiday caravans?

In the reported Seaview Holiday Park case, Wyldecrest told Cornwall Live in 2026 that there will be an age restriction for caravans. That was said about that case, and we found no published group-wide age limit. Check your agreement. Our guide to park age limits explains how these usually work.

Can a cash buyer collect my caravan from a Wyldecrest park?

Potentially, subject to your licence agreement and the park's rules. Ask about disconnection, removal charges and haulier access first. Our piece on the secret life of a caravan haulier shows what collection day involves.
