Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
The ABI Ingleton is a 13ft-wide holiday home, re-vamped for 2025 and still listed by ABI for 2027, with an optional residential upgrade. This guide explains its history, how to identify it and how an Ingleton is valued when you sell.
ABI began in 1972, when Ace Caravans and Belmont Caravans of Beverley merged as Ace Belmont International. After a period of US ownership, a management buyout in 2001 took ABI out of touring caravans to focus on holiday homes and lodges, and a further management buyout in 2020 bought out private equity investor CBPE. ABI is an independent manufacturer based in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Model history
The Ingleton was in ABI's range before 2025, when it was re-vamped; for 2026 ABI added an angled front profile across its range, and Leisuredays gave the 2026 40 x 13 two-bed an ex-works price of £70,199.85. The 2027 model keeps the 40 x 13 two-bed and 41 x 13 three-bed layouts but moves from the 2026 green scheme to royal blue and rosewood. ABI offers a BS 3632 residential upgrade, which some dealers advertise as the Ingleton Residential.
We have not verified the sizes and specification of Ingletons built before 2025.
How to identify an ABI Ingleton
- Start with the plate and paperwork. Check the manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and any original paperwork, then confirm the model against the measured size, layout and specification.
- Colour scheme: green on 2026 models; royal blue and rosewood on 2027 models.
- Front: angled front profile and full front sliding door on 2026-on models.
- Kitchen: enclosed kitchen with breakfast bar.
- Residential: an 'Ingleton Residential' is the same model with the BS 3632 upgrade; ask for the certificate.
- Measure it yourself. Advert headlines often round sizes or misstate the width.
Specs and typical layout
This is a summary of the sources we used, not a full factory specification for every year.
- Sizes (2026 to 2027): 40 x 13 (2 bed), 41 x 13 (3 bed)
- Chateaux Grey cladding, pre-galvanised twin-axle chassis
- Low E argon double glazing, condensing gas central heating
- Full front sliding door, breakfast bar, integrated fridge freezer
- Separate en-suite toilet and shower in all models; lift-up master bed
- Microwave not standard on 2026 models
How much is an ABI Ingleton worth?
There is no single figure for an ABI Ingleton. A cash offer depends on the individual caravan: its year, confirmed size and layout, specification, condition, and what collection involves. Model year, holiday or BS 3632 build and options make too much difference for a single figure, and pre-2025 Ingletons may differ from current ones.
Individual valuation recommended.
What would SCB actually pay?
We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. As a 13ft-wide unit, collection planning also matters.
What we pay for an ABI Ingleton is a trade price for the caravan itself, removed from the pitch. It will be below park, dealer and private asking prices, because those include things a trade buyer does not get (a pitch, siting, site-fee packages, warranties and the seller's margin) and leave out costs a trade buyer carries (collection, transport, refurbishment and resale).
Online prices and price context
- Manufacturer list, 2027 (inc VAT, excluding options and plot): £72,586.92 (2 bed), £74,445.95 (3 bed)
- Ex-works, 2026 40 x 13 two-bed: £70,199.85 (Leisuredays)
- Park asking price: £99,995 for a 2024 model at Aberdunant Hall (October 2026)
- Sited, 2026: a 40 x 13 with wraparound decking in Fife at £96,800 (Leisuredays classified note)
Sited prices include the pitch, siting, connections and, in the Fife example, decking. ABI's list prices include VAT but not options or plot fees.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer RRP or list price: what the maker quotes for a new caravan, usually before options, delivery, siting and pitch fees. Check whether VAT is included.
- Ex-works price: the factory price for a new unit before delivery and siting; review sites quote it for the model year they tested.
- Dealer retail asking price: a dealer's price for new or used stock. Off-site dealer prices usually exclude a pitch; dealer margin is built in.
- Sited park asking price: what a park asks for a caravan already on a pitch. It often includes siting, connections, steps, decking and sometimes a period of site fees, plus the park's margin.
- Private asking price: what an owner hopes to get, often with the caravan staying on its pitch, subject to park approval and any park commission.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as SCB pays for the caravan itself, removed from the pitch and collected. It is lower than retail because the buyer pays for collection, transport, any refurbishment, a new pitch or resale, and takes on the risk.
An asking price is not a sale price, and neither is what a trade buyer pays. None of the figures in this guide is an SCB purchase price.
What affects ABI Ingleton value?
- Year and paperwork. The plate, serial number and any original paperwork confirm the model year and specification.
- Confirmed size and layout. Measured length, width and bedroom count, not an advert headline.
- Heating and glazing. Whether central heating and double glazing were fitted, and whether the heating works.
- Condition. Damp, roof, floors, windows, cladding and chassis condition matter more than cosmetic finish.
- Appliances and fittings. Whether they are present, safe and working.
- Collection access. Ground conditions, access for the transport vehicle and the caravan's width all affect cost.
- Pitch or no pitch. A trade buyer is buying the caravan, not the pitch, so pitch value and site-fee packages do not transfer.
Known features and quirks
- The residential upgrade is an option on the same model, not a separate model.
- Colour schemes change by year, which helps date an Ingleton.
FAQs
Is the ABI Ingleton still made?
Yes. ABI lists a 2027 Ingleton.
Is the Ingleton Residential a different model?
No. It is the Ingleton with ABI's optional BS 3632 residential upgrade.
Does a BS 3632 residential specification change anything?
Ask for the certificate if it is claimed. Some residential-spec caravans are sited on holiday-only parks, so how the caravan is sited and used matters as well as how it was built.
Can I sell it and keep the pitch?
No. A trade buyer buys the caravan and removes it. Talk to your park about notice, any final site fees and what happens to the pitch.
