Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
The ABI Roxbury was added to ABI's range for the 2014 season in two- and three-bedroom 38 x 12 versions. This guide covers what it was, how to identify it and how a Roxbury is valued when you sell.
ABI began in 1972, when Ace Caravans and Belmont Caravans of Beverley merged as Ace Belmont International. After a period of US ownership, a management buyout in 2001 took ABI out of touring caravans to focus on holiday homes and lodges, and a further management buyout in 2020 bought out private equity investor CBPE. ABI is an independent manufacturer based in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

Model history
ABI added the Roxbury for the 2014 season in two 38ft x 12ft versions, two-bed and three-bed, with an open-plan lounge and kitchen as standard and an optional dividing wall with glazed door. Ex-works price for the two-bed was £33,289.10 including VAT. We found dated examples from 2014 and 2015 and could not establish when it ended.
How to identify an ABI Roxbury
- Start with the plate and paperwork. Check the manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and any original paperwork, then confirm the model against the measured size, layout and specification.
- Optional glazed 'shaker' door between kitchen and lounge.
- Two full-height corner windows in the lounge.
- Master bedroom (2 bed): walk-in wardrobe and en-suite toilet.
- Measure it yourself. Advert headlines often round sizes or misstate the width.
Specs and typical layout
This is a summary of the sources we used, not a full factory specification for every year.
- Size: 38 x 12, two-bed or three-bed
- Open-plan lounge and kitchen standard; dividing wall with glazed door optional
- Scratch-resistant aluminium cladding, pantile roof
- Painted chassis standard, pre-galvanised optional
- Double glazing and central heating in the optional Winter Premium pack (2014)
How much is an ABI Roxbury worth?
There is no single figure for an ABI Roxbury. A cash offer depends on the individual caravan: its year, confirmed size and layout, specification, condition, and what collection involves. Whether the Winter Premium pack was fitted, the chassis type and condition change the figure a great deal.
Individual valuation recommended.
What would SCB actually pay?
We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference.
What we pay for an ABI Roxbury is a trade price for the caravan itself, removed from the pitch. It will be below park, dealer and private asking prices, because those include things a trade buyer does not get (a pitch, siting, site-fee packages, warranties and the seller's margin) and leave out costs a trade buyer carries (collection, transport, refurbishment and resale).
Online prices and price context
- Manufacturer ex-works, 2014 (inc VAT): £33,289.10
- Park asking prices (October 2026): £49,995 for a 2014 2 bed with double glazing and central heating at Coghurst Hall (Park Holidays, reduced from £53,995); £29,500 for a 2015 2 bed at Partington's including siting, connection, steps and gas
The gap between those two park prices shows how much the park, pitch and package affect an asking price. Neither is a trade value.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer RRP or list price: what the maker quotes for a new caravan, usually before options, delivery, siting and pitch fees. Check whether VAT is included.
- Ex-works price: the factory price for a new unit before delivery and siting; review sites quote it for the model year they tested.
- Dealer retail asking price: a dealer's price for new or used stock. Off-site dealer prices usually exclude a pitch; dealer margin is built in.
- Sited park asking price: what a park asks for a caravan already on a pitch. It often includes siting, connections, steps, decking and sometimes a period of site fees, plus the park's margin.
- Private asking price: what an owner hopes to get, often with the caravan staying on its pitch, subject to park approval and any park commission.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as SCB pays for the caravan itself, removed from the pitch and collected. It is lower than retail because the buyer pays for collection, transport, any refurbishment, a new pitch or resale, and takes on the risk.
An asking price is not a sale price, and neither is what a trade buyer pays. None of the figures in this guide is an SCB purchase price.
What affects ABI Roxbury value?
- Year and paperwork. The plate, serial number and any original paperwork confirm the model year and specification.
- Confirmed size and layout. Measured length, width and bedroom count, not an advert headline.
- Heating and glazing. Whether central heating and double glazing were fitted, and whether the heating works.
- Condition. Damp, roof, floors, windows, cladding and chassis condition matter more than cosmetic finish.
- Appliances and fittings. Whether they are present, safe and working.
- Collection access. Ground conditions, access for the transport vehicle and the caravan's width all affect cost.
- Pitch or no pitch. A trade buyer is buying the caravan, not the pitch, so pitch value and site-fee packages do not transfer.
Known features and quirks
- Heating and glazing were in an optional pack, so do not assume them.
- Painted chassis as standard: check its condition.
FAQs
When was the ABI Roxbury made?
It was new for 2014. We found dated examples from 2014 and 2015 and could not establish when it ended.
Was there a 3-bed Roxbury?
Yes. It was offered from launch, also at 38 x 12.
Can I sell it and keep the pitch?
No. A trade buyer buys the caravan and removes it. Talk to your park about notice, any final site fees and what happens to the pitch.
