Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
The ABI Summer Breeze was the entry point to ABI's range in its 2015 and 2018 brochures, in seven sizes from 28 x 10 to 36 x 12. It is not in ABI's 2026 brochure, but parks still advertise brand-new 2026 Summer Breezes. Because the name spans more than a decade and two widths, and double glazing and central heating were options on earlier models, this guide explains how to identify yours and why it needs an individual valuation.

Model history
ABI began in 1972, when Ace Caravans and Belmont Caravans of Beverley merged as Ace Belmont International. After a period of US ownership, a management buyout in 2001 took ABI out of touring caravans to focus on holiday homes and lodges, and a further management buyout in 2020 bought out private equity investor CBPE. ABI is an independent manufacturer based in Beverley, East Yorkshire.
The Summer Breeze appears in ABI's 2015 catalogue and its 2018 brochure as the entry point to the range, in seven sizes from 28 x 10 to 36 x 12. Leisuredays reviewed a 36 x 12 three-bed in February 2016, quoting an ex-works price of £21,924.16 including VAT. Out and About Live lists a 2017 36 x 12 three-bed from £23,472. An owner comment on the Leisuredays review mentions a 2014 Summer Breeze, and the model was already in the 2015 catalogue, so 'new' in the 2016 review should not be read as a launch date.
The Summer Breeze is not in ABI's 2026 brochure. Even so, several parks, including Seven Bays in Cornwall and Ladram Bay in Devon, advertise brand-new 2026 Summer Breezes, so the name is still being built for parks. A 2026 Summer Breeze may be specified quite differently from a 2015 one.
How to identify an ABI Summer Breeze
- Start with the plate and paperwork. The manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and original paperwork are the most reliable way to confirm the model and year.
- Measure it yourself. Check the length and width with a tape rather than relying on an advert headline.
- Check the width: 10 ft versions exist (28, 32 and 36 ft), so do not assume 12 ft.
- On 2015 to 2018 models look for the absence of a cooker hood and carpet underlay, which were not standard on the Summer Breeze.
- Check whether double glazing and central heating are fitted; on earlier models they depended on the winter pack chosen.
- The 2016 review caravan was single glazed, which was the brochure standard.
- An asking price is not a value. What a park or dealer is asking tells you little about what the caravan is worth to a trade buyer.
Specs and typical layout
This is a summary of the sources we found, not a full factory specification for every year.

- Standard (2015): aluminium cladding, 100mm roof insulation, gas fire, fixed dinette, vaulted ceiling, steel pantile roof
- Insulation (2016 review): 50mm walls, 100mm roof and floor; built to EN 1647
- Options (2015): pre-galvanised chassis, Low E PVCu double glazing, Winter Premium pack (double glazing and domestic central heating), Winter Electric pack (double glazing and 300w bedroom heaters)

- 2026 park models: 36 x 12 two-bed with double glazing and gas central heating advertised
How much is an ABI Summer Breeze worth?
Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for the Summer Breeze because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. A single band would be especially misleading here: the name spans at least 2014 to 2026, comes in 10 ft and 12 ft widths, and earlier examples may be single glazed with no central heating while 2026 park models are listed with both.
What would SCB actually pay?
Our offer is a trade price for the caravan itself, collected from where it stands. It is based on the year, confirmed size and layout, condition (damp, floors, roof and chassis), heating and glazing, and how straightforward collection will be, measured against what we can realistically resell it for. On a Summer Breeze we always ask which winter pack, if any, was fitted.
A trade offer will normally be lower than the retail, park and private asking prices below. Those prices often include a pitch, siting, connections, decking, site fees or a dealer margin, and the seller has time to wait for the right buyer. A trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, arranges collection and takes on the cost and risk of resale. Individual valuation recommended: send us the plate details and some photos and we will give you a figure for your caravan.
Online prices and price context
- Ex-works list (2016, inc VAT): £21,924.16 for a 36 x 12 three-bed (Leisuredays)
- List price from (2017): £23,472 for a 36 x 12 three-bed (Out and About Live)
- Sited park asking: £36,995 for a 2017 36 x 12 three-bed at Lossiemouth (Park Holidays)
The 2016 and 2017 figures are new prices before siting. The Lossiemouth price is for a sited caravan and includes the pitch and the park's margin. We did not find a published price for the 2026 park models. These are list, dealer, park or private asking prices; we give the year where the source states one. None of them is a trade or cash buyer price, and none should be read as what a trade buyer would pay.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer list price (RRP) and ex-works price: what a new caravan costs from the maker or its dealers. Ex-works usually excludes delivery and siting. Some sources state whether VAT is included and some do not; where a source does not say, we say so, and those figures should not be compared directly with prices that include VAT.
- Dealer retail asking (off-site): a dealer's price for a caravan not on a pitch. It includes the dealer's margin and often preparation or a warranty, and delivery and siting are usually extra.
- Sited park asking: a price for a caravan on a park pitch. It often includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and part of the site fees, and the park's margin.
- Private asking: what an owner hopes to get. It can be higher than trade but may take a long time, and buyers often need the park's approval and a pitch.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected. It is the lowest of these figures because the buyer takes on collection, any refurbishment and the resale risk, but it is usually the quickest and simplest exit.
What affects ABI Summer Breeze value?
- Winter pack: single glazed with no central heating, Winter Electric, or Winter Premium with gas central heating.
- Width: 10 ft or 12 ft.
- Year: 2014 to 2018 examples versus newer park-supplied models.
- Chassis: painted or the optional pre-galvanised chassis.
- Pitch or no pitch.
- Condition: damp, soft floors, roof, windows and chassis condition matter more than the model name.
- Appliances and fittings: present, safe and working.
- Collection access: how easy it is to get a vehicle to the caravan and move it off the pitch.
Known features and quirks
- Single-glazed and no-central-heating examples are common for 2014 to 2018, because both were options.
- It was the only ABI model in the 2015 brochure without a cooker hood or carpet underlay as standard.
- The 36 x 12 three-bed has two toilets and one shower.
FAQs
Is the ABI Summer Breeze still made?
It is not in ABI's 2026 brochure, but several parks advertise brand-new 2026 Summer Breezes, so it appears to be built for parks rather than sold from ABI's main catalogue.
Does my Summer Breeze have central heating?
Not necessarily. On 2015 to 2018 models central heating and double glazing came with the optional Winter Premium pack. Check what is fitted.
What sizes were made?
ABI's 2015 and 2018 brochures list seven layouts: 28 x 10, 32 x 10, 36 x 10, 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and two 36 x 12 layouts.
Will you buy my ABI Summer Breeze if it is old or needs work?
We look at caravans of all ages and conditions. Age and condition change the offer, so send us the plate details and photos and we will value it individually.
