Introduction

Trying to work out what an Atlas Everglade is worth, or whether yours is an early Everglade Super or a much later Everglade 4? The Everglade name ran through at least four versions, from the early 2000s to 2017 models, so the year on the plate matters more than the badge. This guide sets out what dated sources show for each era, how to identify one, and why a trade offer has to be individual.

Atlas Everglade quick guide

Manufacturer Atlas Leisure Homes, Hull (trading since 1973)
Best-documented evidence The Everglade name ran through several generations. Leisuredays' January 2016 review of the Everglade 4 says it was new for 2016 and the fourth version of the Everglade, in 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 two-bed and 36 x 12 three-bed layouts. An earlier Atlas brochure sheet (file mark 0912v2) lists 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 layouts, and Everglade Super adverts date from the early to mid-2000s. Dated adverts run to 2017 models.
Documented sizes Brochure sheet 0912v2: 28 x 12 2-bed 6 berth; 32 x 12 2-bed 6 berth; 35 x 12 2-bed 6 berth; 35 x 12 3-bed 8 berth. 2016 review: 36 x 12 3-bed (8 berth), with 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 2-bed.
Naming Used listings show Everglade, Everglade Super and Everglade 4. Confirm the wording from the plate and paperwork
Heating and glazing Optional on both the 0912v2 sheet and the 2016 Everglade 4. Some adverts claim them fitted; one sold Super advert said neither. Do not assume either
Build standard (2016) EN 1647 holiday home
Not the same as The Atlas Concept (raised dining area) or the Atlas Oakwood Super and later Oakwood Lodge
Trade value Individual valuation recommended.
Current status Not in any recent Atlas range we found. See the Atlas status note below

Model history

Atlas was founded in Hull in 1973 and built static caravans and holiday lodges there for more than 50 years. The Everglade sits in its family holiday-home line rather than among the lodge flagships, and it was not one caravan but a run of versions.

Early 2000s: Everglade Super. Directory and dealer pages list Everglade Super caravans from the early to mid-2000s, including a 2002 32 x 12 2-bed and a 2005 35 x 12 3-bed. A park advert for an Everglade Super at 28 x 12, 2 bedrooms, noted no central heating and no double glazing (sold). On some earlier Atlas models "Super" marked a 12 ft wide version, but we did not find an Atlas source confirming that pattern for the Everglade, so treat it as a name to check, not a rule.

Brochure sheet 0912v2. An Atlas Leisure Homes Everglade brochure sheet (footer 0912v2, Wiltshire Road, Hull) describes a great-value family home with vaulted ceilings, open-plan living, a contemporary gas fire and a choice of dinette or freestanding dining, in 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 layouts. Options included gas combi central heating, double glazed PVCu door and windows, a fridge or fridge-freezer, extra insulation and a wheelchair-compatible layout. The sheet is undated beyond its file mark.

2016: Everglade 4. Leisuredays' January 2016 review of the Atlas Everglade 4 says it was new for 2016 and the fourth version of the Everglade. The review model was a 36 x 12 3-bed (8 berth), with 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 two-bed layouts also listed, built to EN 1647. Because there were at least four versions, a 2003 Everglade Super and a 2017 Everglade 4 are very different caravans. The 2016 version listed central heating and an Ultrawarm insulation pack as options, and an ex-works price of £26,196.53 including VAT at the time (a new price, not a used value).

2017 models. Two park adverts list 2017 Everglades, consistent with the 2016 Everglade 4: a 2017 28 x 12 2-bed and a 2017 35 x 12 2-bed.

Atlas status: Atlas Leisure Homes, a Hull manufacturer trading since 1973, entered administration in March 2025. In June 2025 the Rix Group bought the Atlas name, model designs and some equipment and said it would bring the brand back; parks have since advertised new 2026 Atlas models, including the Debonair. Atlas caravans built before 2025 were made by the original Hull company, so check warranty cover with the park or dealer. We found no Everglade among the new 2026 Atlas adverts.

How to identify an Atlas Everglade

  • Start with the paperwork, then check the caravan. Check the manufacturer plate, serial or chassis information and original paperwork, then confirm the model and year against the dimensions, layout and specification. Do not assume the plate spells out "Super" or "4".
  • Year first. A 2000s Everglade Super and a 2016 or 2017 Everglade 4 are different generations. The year on the plate tells you which you are dealing with.
  • Width. All the evidence we found is 12 ft wide. A caravan around 20 ft wide is not an Everglade.
  • Length and bedrooms as a generation clue. A 36 x 12 3-bed appears in the Everglade 4 era, not on the earlier 0912v2 sheet, where the 3-bed is 35 x 12.
  • Interior cues. Vaulted ceilings, open-plan living and a contemporary gas fire are described on the 0912v2 sheet. None of these alone proves the model.
  • Not an Atlas Concept (raised dining area) and not an Oakwood Super, which is a separate Atlas name from the 2000s.

Specs and typical layout

Brochure sheet 0912v2:

  • 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 2-bed (6 berth); 35 x 12 3-bed (8 berth)
  • Plastisol coated steel pantile pitched roof; underfloor insulation; exterior light
  • Vaulted ceilings; fold-out sprung bed in lounge seating; contemporary gas fire
  • Integrated 600 mm oven and 4-ring hob with grill
  • Options: gas combi central heating; double glazed PVCu door and windows; freestanding dining; fridge or fridge-freezer; extra insulation; wheelchair layout

2016 Everglade 4 (Leisuredays review):

  • 36 x 12 3-bed (8 berth) review model; 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 2-bed also listed
  • EN 1647 holiday home
  • Central heating and Ultrawarm insulation pack among options
  • Ex-works £26,196.53 including VAT in 2016

Individual adverts: a 2005 35 x 12 3-bed with central heating and double glazing claimed; a 28 x 12 2-bed Super with neither. Dealer adverts describe that caravan, not a factory standard.

How much is an Atlas Everglade worth?

Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. The Everglade spans at least four versions from the early 2000s to 2017, with heating and glazing optional throughout, so one range covering a 2002 Super and a 2017 Everglade 4 would mislead.

What would SCB actually pay?

We price the caravan in front of us. A 2000s 28 x 12 without central heating and a 2017 35 x 12 with heating and double glazing are different offers, and neither can be read off a park advert. Our offer is for the caravan alone, with collection arranged by us.

Online prices and price context

Asking prices disagree with each other. Examples (VAT treatment not stated):

  • Historical ex-works price (2016): £26,196.53 including VAT for the 2016 Everglade 4, as quoted in Leisuredays' review. A new price from 2016, not a used value.
  • Off-site dealer asking price (checked October 2026): £5,995 for a 2005 Atlas Everglade, listed as 35 x 12, 3 bedrooms, with central heating and double glazing claimed.
  • Sited park asking price (checked October 2026): £26,995 for a 2017 Everglade 35 x 12, 2 bedrooms, on a park, so the figure includes pitch and park package terms.
  • Park advert, POA: a 2017 Everglade 28 x 12 2-bed listed without a price.

These figures sit on very different bases: a 2005 caravan sold off-site by a dealer and a 2017 caravan sold on a pitch. Neither is a trade value.

Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean

  • Manufacturer RRP or ex-works price: what a new caravan cost from the factory or its price list in a given year. VAT treatment is not always stated, and siting, transport and connections are extra.
  • Dealer or park retail asking price: what a seller hopes to get. A sited park price usually includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and site fees, and the seller's margin. An off-site dealer price usually includes refurbishment, warranty and margin.
  • Private asking price: often lower than retail, but the seller carries the risk, time and transport, and many parks restrict private sales on the pitch.
  • Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as Static Caravan Buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected from the pitch, with the buyer taking on transport, refurbishment and resale. It is lower than retail because those costs and risks move to the buyer.

An asking price is not a sale price, and none of the online figures in this guide is a trade value.

What affects Atlas Everglade value?

  • The year on the plate and therefore the generation.
  • Confirmed size and bedroom count.
  • Double glazing and central heating present and working (optional in both the brochure and the 2016 review).
  • Insulation pack, if fitted.
  • Damp, roof and window seals.
  • Kitchen appliances and lounge furniture still there.
  • Collection access and distance.
  • Pitch included or not.

Known features and quirks

  • Four versions, one name. The 2016 review called the Everglade 4 the fourth version. Compare like with like.
  • Super is not automatic. Confirm it from the paperwork.
  • Heating and glazing were optional on the brochure sheet and in 2016. A "no CH, no DG" Super and a heated, glazed Everglade 4 share a name and nothing else on a valuation.
  • Not a Concept and not an Oakwood. Wrong comparisons waste valuation time.
  • Original company gone. Everglades were built by the original Hull company, which is no longer trading, so check any warranty claims with the park or dealer.

FAQs

How many versions of the Atlas Everglade were there?

Leisuredays' January 2016 review described the Everglade 4 as the fourth version, new for 2016. Earlier versions include Everglade Super caravans from the early to mid-2000s.

What size is an Atlas Everglade?

The earlier brochure sheet lists 28 x 12, 32 x 12 and 35 x 12 layouts. The 2016 Everglade 4 added a 36 x 12 3-bed alongside 28, 32 and 35 ft 2-beds. Measure yours.

What is an Atlas Everglade Super?

A name used on early to mid-2000s Everglades in directories and dealer adverts. Confirm it from the plate and paperwork.

Is the Atlas Everglade still made?

We found no Everglade in recent Atlas ranges or among the new 2026 Atlas adverts. Dated adverts run to 2017 models.

How much is an Atlas Everglade worth?

Individual valuation recommended. A 2005 example and a 2017 example are different generations, and online figures are asking prices, not trade values.

Selling an Atlas Everglade

If the park has written to you about age limits, or you would rather not wait for a buyer who also needs the pitch, a direct trade sale is often the simpler route. Tell us the year, any Super or "4" wording on the paperwork, the exact size, bedroom count, heating and glazing.

SCB process

  1. Call 0800 644 5000 or use the free offer form on our website.
  2. Tell us what the manufacturer plate and paperwork say: the year, size, bedrooms, heating and glazing, condition and where the caravan is sited. Photos help.
  3. Our team normally aims to contact you within 24 hours, and aims to make an offer within 48 hours of that contact. These are aims, not guarantees.
  4. If you accept, we arrange collection on a date that works for you and the park.
  5. Payment is made on collection day before the caravan is loaded.

There are no estate-agent fees and no commission.
