Last valuation guide update: October 2026

Introduction

The BK Bluebird Grosvenor was launched as an all-new two-model range for 2010, after BK Bluebird was relaunched as a division of Willerby building in Hull. BK Bluebird no longer releases new models, so every Grosvenor is now a used caravan. This guide covers its history, how to identify one and how a trade valuation works.

Model history

After BK Bluebird's Poole factory closed in 2009, Willerby relaunched BK Bluebird as a division building in Hull. The Grosvenor was one of the first results: Leisuredays reviewed it as an all-new two-model range for 2010, a 37 x 12 two-bed and a 38 x 12 three-bed, both built to EN 1647. Dated examples we found run to 2014. One park lists a '2008' Grosvenor, which does not fit the 2010 launch, so check the plate on any Grosvenor said to be older than 2010.

The B.K. Bluebird company has since been dissolved, and BK Bluebird no longer releases new models.

How to identify a BK Bluebird Grosvenor

  • Start with the plate and paperwork. The manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and original paperwork are the most reliable way to confirm the model and year.
  • Measure it yourself. Check the length and width with a tape rather than relying on an advert headline.
  • Look for an entrance into a small hallway rather than straight into the lounge (Leisuredays).
  • Check for an integrated larder fridge-freezer and, on the two-bed, an en-suite washroom.
  • Measure the length: launched at 37 ft (two-bed) and 38 ft (three-bed), but a 2014 three-bed is advertised at 37 ft.
  • Check the year on the plate, especially if a seller says it is older than 2010.
  • An asking price is not a value. What a park or dealer is asking tells you little about what the caravan is worth to a trade buyer.

Specs and typical layout

This is a summary of the sources we found, not a full factory specification for every year.

  • Sizes at launch (2010): 37 x 12 two-bed and 38 x 12 three-bed, built to EN 1647
  • Interior: entrance hallway, integrated larder fridge-freezer, en-suite washroom (two-bed), flame-effect fire, thermostatic shower
  • Heating and glazing: gas central heating and double glazing on the dated examples we found
  • Chassis: check whether yours is painted or galvanised; we could not confirm the standard chassis from a manufacturer source

How much is a BK Bluebird Grosvenor worth?

Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for the Grosvenor because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. Grosvenors date from 2010 to at least 2014 and sited asking prices for them range from about £20,000 to £37,000 depending on park and pitch, which tells you little about the caravan's trade value.

What would SCB actually pay?

Our offer is a trade price for the caravan itself, collected from where it stands. It is based on the year, confirmed size and layout, condition (damp, floors, roof and chassis), heating and glazing, and how straightforward collection will be, measured against what we can realistically resell it for. Because there is no BK manufacturer now, we look closely at condition and chassis on a Grosvenor.

A trade offer will normally be lower than the retail, park and private asking prices below. Those prices often include a pitch, siting, connections, decking, site fees or a dealer margin, and the seller has time to wait for the right buyer. A trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, arranges collection and takes on the cost and risk of resale. Individual valuation recommended: send us the plate details and some photos and we will give you a figure for your caravan.

Online prices and price context

  • Sited park asking: £36,995 for a 2014 37 x 12 two-bed at Dovercourt (Park Holidays)
  • Sited park asking: £19,950 (reduced from £25,000) for a 2011 two-bed including 2026 site fees (Hendre Caravan Park)

Both are park prices that include the pitch; the Hendre price also includes the 2026 site fees. These are list, dealer, park or private asking prices; we give the year where the source states one. None of them is a trade or cash buyer price, and none should be read as what a trade buyer would pay.

Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean

  • Manufacturer list price (RRP) and ex-works price: what a new caravan costs from the maker or its dealers. Ex-works usually excludes delivery and siting. Some sources state whether VAT is included and some do not; where a source does not say, we say so, and those figures should not be compared directly with prices that include VAT.
  • Dealer retail asking (off-site): a dealer's price for a caravan not on a pitch. It includes the dealer's margin and often preparation or a warranty, and delivery and siting are usually extra.
  • Sited park asking: a price for a caravan on a park pitch. It often includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and part of the site fees, and the park's margin.
  • Private asking: what an owner hopes to get. It can be higher than trade but may take a long time, and buyers often need the park's approval and a pitch.
  • Trade or cash buyer value: what a trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected. It is the lowest of these figures because the buyer takes on collection, any refurbishment and the resale risk, but it is usually the quickest and simplest exit.

What affects BK Bluebird Grosvenor value?

  • Year: 2010 to 2014 examples, and park age limits.
  • Layout: 37 x 12 two-bed or the three-bed.
  • Chassis: painted or galvanised, and its condition.
  • Pitch or no pitch.
  • Condition: damp, soft floors, roof, windows and chassis condition matter more than the model name.
  • Appliances and fittings: present, safe and working.
  • Collection access: how easy it is to get a vehicle to the caravan and move it off the pitch.

Known features and quirks

  • There is no BK manufacturer to contact for parts or warranty; Leisuredays refers owners to Willerby.
  • A '2008 Grosvenor' park listing conflicts with the 2010 launch; it may be misdated, so check the plate.
  • Three-bed Grosvenors appear at both 37 and 38 ft in adverts.
