Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
Looking up a Carnaby Oakdale value, a 37 x 12 Oakdale, or what a used Carnaby static caravan is worth once the pitch is taken out of the advert? Oakdale is a long-running Carnaby holiday-home name that also sits beside related layouts called Oakdale Outlook and Oakdale Centre Lounge. This guide keeps those names separate, sticks to what factory pages, dated reviews and dealer or park adverts show, and treats the trade figure as an individual quote.
Carnaby Oakdale quick guide
| Manufacturer | Carnaby Caravans, near Bridlington, East Yorkshire (since 1976) |
| Place in the range | Practical family holiday home. Carnaby's live site (checked October 2026) says "The Oakdale returns", with five layouts |
| Related names (keep separate) | Oakdale Outlook and Oakdale Centre Lounge are separate product pages on Carnaby's site. Do not identify or price them as a standard Oakdale from the word Oakdale alone |
| Earlier evidence | Leisuredays reviewed a 2016 35 x 12 2-bed and a 2019 Oakdale Centre Lounge 37 x 12 2-bed. Park and dealer stock also shows 2017, 2023 and 2024 Oakdales |
| 2025 factory brochure | Oakdale is not listed in the Carnaby 2025 Collection brochure. That is not a dated discontinuation notice |
| Current layouts (Carnaby live page) | 32 x 12 2-bed; 35 x 12 2-bed; 36 x 12 3-bed; 37 x 12 2-bed; 38 x 12 3-bed |

Model history
Earlier run. Leisuredays' March 2016 review described the Oakdale as one of Carnaby's most popular models, with configurations from a 32 x 12 up through larger 12 ft layouts. The caravan reviewed was a 35 x 12 2-bed. uPVC double glazing, a fully galvanised chassis and Carnaby's Ultrawarm insulation and wet-radiator package were listed among the optional extras, and the ex-works figure quoted was £28,120.80 including VAT in 2016. That is a historical new price, not a used value.
Centre Lounge addition. In July 2019 Leisuredays reviewed a 37 x 12 two-bedroom Oakdale CL (centre lounge), with French doors into a central living area, an L-shaped convertible settee and a utility area sized for an optional washing machine. The review listed another Oakdale CL as 38 x 12 3-bed, and quoted an ex-works price of £43,470 in 2019. Centre Lounge is a different layout family from a standard front-lounge Oakdale.
Recent park and dealer stock. Park and dealer pages advertise Oakdales dated 2017, 2023 and 2024, including an ex-demo 2023 37 x 12 2-bed and 2024 32 x 12 examples. Those listings are individual caravans with package terms, not a factory range sheet.
2025 brochure gap. Carnaby's 2025 Collection brochure lists Grantley Lodge, The Langham, Chantry Lodge, Lakehouse Lodge, Highgrove, Silverdale, Glaisdale, Glaisdale CL, Bayview and Breakaway. It does not list Oakdale. Absence from that brochure is not a published last-production year.
Current position. Carnaby's live Oakdale page (checked October 2026) says the Oakdale returns, with five layouts sleeping 4 to 6, and dealers advertise 2026 Oakdale stock and pre-orders. We could not establish the first production year or any formal gap years from a dated Carnaby announcement.
Do not confuse Oakdale with Carnaby's Ashdale, Silverdale, Glaisdale or lodge names. Plate, serial, paperwork and a tape measure beat a park advert title.
How to identify a Carnaby Oakdale
- Start with the paperwork, then check the caravan. Check the manufacturer plate, serial or chassis information and original paperwork, then confirm the model against the dimensions, layout and specification. Advert titles sometimes say Oakdale when the unit is an Outlook or Centre Lounge, or the other way round.
- Width. The current Oakdale layouts and the 2016 and 2019 review examples are 12 ft wide. Measure yours.
- Standard Oakdale versus Outlook versus Centre Lounge. On Carnaby's live range (October 2026), Oakdale is the five-layout bay-window family. Oakdale Outlook is a separate page built around front patio doors, with three layouts including a 37 x 12 two-bed and a 39 x 12 three-bed. Carnaby's live Oakdale Centre Lounge page lists two layouts, including a 39 x 12 three-bed. A mid-home lounge is a Centre Lounge cue, not a standard Oakdale.
- Bay window. Current dealer write-ups for the standard 2026 Oakdale emphasise a bay with panoramic windows. That alone does not prove the year.
- Ultra Warm. Carnaby describes Ultra Warm and Ultra Warm Plus as thermal upgrades, not as proof of model year. Dealer feature lists for 2026 Oakdales still show Ultra Warm as an option.
- Chassis. A painted chassis with pre-galvanised legs is the base in dealer lists for 2026 stock; a full galvanised chassis appears as an option on some units. Do not assume every Oakdale is fully galvanised.
Specs and typical layout
Current Carnaby Oakdale (live product page, checked October 2026):
- Five layouts: 32 x 12 2-bed, 35 x 12 2-bed, 36 x 12 3-bed, 37 x 12 2-bed, 38 x 12 3-bed
- Sleeps 4 to 6; 2 to 3 bedrooms
- Bed sizes on the 32 x 12 floorplan: king size 1905 mm x 1525 mm; twin singles 1830 mm x 685 mm
- Carnaby's public pages do not publish a full appliance sheet or price
2026 dealer-described specification (dealer feature lists for 37 x 12 2-bed stock): painted chassis with pre-galvanised legs, bay window, Carnaby Sit sprung corner sofa, freestanding dining set, electric fan-assisted oven, four-burner gas hob, integrated fridge-freezer, shower room with a heated towel rail tied to the Ultra Warm upgrade. Options on individual units have included the Ultra Warm pack, full galvanised chassis, bedroom TV points, microwave and graphite windows. Dealer adverts describe that unit, not a factory standard for every Oakdale.
2016 review (35 x 12 2-bed): EN 1647, pitched steel pantile roof, small front bay, side access door; double glazing, fully galvanised chassis and Ultrawarm optional; L-shaped lounge seating, C-shaped kitchen, family shower room, twin room and master with ensuite WC and basin.
2019 Centre Lounge (37 x 12 2-bed CL): use only if your caravan is actually a CL. The review describes two shower rooms and a mid-home lounge.
How much is a Carnaby Oakdale worth?
Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. A 2016 Oakdale with optional extras, a 2019 Centre Lounge and a 2026 Oakdale with the Ultra Warm pack are different caravans under one name, so a single range would mislead.
What would SCB actually pay?
We quote the individual caravan: year, exact size, 2-bed or 3-bed, whether it is a standard Oakdale, Outlook or Centre Lounge, whether Ultra Warm and a full galvanised chassis are fitted, damp, and collection. The figure is for the caravan alone, collection arranged by us. It is not a showground retail price, a pre-order price or a park package.
Online prices and price context
Examples checked October 2026 (asking prices only; bases differ, and VAT treatment is not stated on the dealer and park adverts):
- Dealer showground asking price: £44,950 for a new 2026 Oakdale 37 x 12 2-bed, with options listed including the Ultra Warm pack, full galvanised chassis, bedroom TV points, microwave and graphite windows.
- Dealer pre-order asking price: £53,962.16 for a new 2026 Oakdale 37 x 12 2-bed pre-order with Ultra Warm, full galvanised chassis and other options. Same size, different order basis and option set.
- Sited park asking prices: £43,950 for a 2024 Oakdale 32 x 12, berth 6, including siting, connections and 2027 site fees; £49,995 for an ex-demo 2023 Oakdale 37 x 12 2-bed with decking and a site-fees deal; £31,995 for a 2017 Oakdale 32 x 12 with decking and a site-fees offer.
- Historical ex-works prices: £28,120.80 inc VAT (2016 review) and £43,470 (2019 Centre Lounge review). Contemporary new figures, not current prices and not used values.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer RRP or ex-works price: what a new caravan cost from the factory or its price list in a given year. VAT treatment is not always stated, and siting, transport and connections are extra.
- Dealer or park retail asking price: what a seller hopes to get. A sited park price usually includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and site fees, and the seller's margin. An off-site dealer price usually includes refurbishment, warranty and margin.
- Private asking price: often lower than retail, but the seller carries the risk, time and transport, and many parks restrict private sales on the pitch.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as Static Caravan Buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected from the pitch, with the buyer taking on transport, refurbishment and resale. It is lower than retail because those costs and risks move to the buyer.
An asking price is not a sale price, and none of the online figures in this guide is a trade value.
What affects Carnaby Oakdale value?
- Year, and whether the caravan is from the current run or an earlier one
- Confirmed size and bedroom count
- Whether it is actually an Oakdale, an Outlook or a Centre Lounge
- Ultra Warm present or not, and whether double glazing and wet radiators are actually fitted
- Chassis: painted with pre-galvanised legs or full galvanised
- Damp, roof, window seals and cladding condition
- Kitchen appliances present and working
- Collection access for a 12 ft body
- Anything in the advert that is not the caravan: decking, site fees, WiFi packages
Known features and quirks
- Name family, not one floorplan. Oakdale, Oakdale Outlook and Oakdale Centre Lounge share branding. Layout and entrance position are how you keep them apart.
- "Returns" on the live site. Carnaby presents Oakdale as returning, and the 2025 brochure does not list it. That does not by itself date a discontinuation.
- Ultra Warm is an upgrade path, not a given.
- Dealer option packs move the window price. The two 2026 37 x 12 asks above show how the same size carries different figures once options and order basis change.
- No published RRP. Carnaby directs buyers to parks or dealers for price.
FAQs
What sizes is the Carnaby Oakdale?
Carnaby's live Oakdale page lists five 12 ft layouts: 32 x 12 2-bed, 35 x 12 2-bed, 36 x 12 3-bed, 37 x 12 2-bed and 38 x 12 3-bed. Earlier reviews and adverts show other Oakdale and Oakdale CL sizes. Measure yours and check the paperwork.
Is Oakdale the same as Oakdale Outlook or Centre Lounge?
No. They are separate product pages on Carnaby's range. Confirm which one you have before comparing prices.
Does every Carnaby Oakdale have Ultra Warm and double glazing?
Not as a safe assumption. The 2016 review listed both among options, and Carnaby still markets Ultra Warm as an upgrade.
Is the Carnaby Oakdale still made?
It is on Carnaby's live range (checked October 2026) and dealers advertise 2026 examples. It was not in the 2025 collection brochure.
How much is a used Carnaby Oakdale worth?
Individual valuation recommended. Dealer and park figures are asking prices on different bases.
Selling a Carnaby Oakdale
If the park has written to you about age limits, or you would rather not wait for a buyer who also needs the pitch, a direct sale is often the simpler route. We buy standard Oakdales and related Outlook and Centre Lounge layouts. Tell us which one the paperwork shows, the exact size and any Ultra Warm or chassis details.
SCB process
- Call 0800 644 5000 or use the free offer form on our website.
- Tell us what the manufacturer plate and paperwork say: the year, size, bedrooms, heating and glazing, condition and where the caravan is sited. Photos help.
- Our team normally aims to contact you within 24 hours, and aims to make an offer within 48 hours of that contact. These are aims, not guarantees.
- If you accept, we arrange collection on a date that works for you and the park.
- Payment is made on collection day before the caravan is loaded.
There are no estate-agent fees and no commission.
