Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
Looking up a Pemberton Abingdon value, or wondering whether an older 36 ft Abingdon is the same caravan as today's 42 x 13? The Abingdon is a current Pemberton holiday-home range with a traditional interior, and the name has been in use since at least 2014. This guide sticks to Pemberton's own page and brochure, labels older park evidence as such, and treats the trade figure as an individual quote.

Model history
The Abingdon name goes back further than today's range. Park adverts show 2014 and 2016 Abingdons, some listed at 36 x 12, and a 2014 example described with an ensuite and bi-fold doors between kitchen and lounge. We could not establish the first production year. A 36 ft length is not in today's range, so an older Abingdon may differ in size and layout from the current models.
Pemberton presents the current Abingdon as a traditionally styled holiday home: blue and cream lounge furnishings against stone and oak coloured fitted furniture, with a feature electric fireplace. Its live Abingdon page (checked October 2026) lists three models: 38 x 12 2-bed, 38 x 12 2-bed ensuite and 42 x 13 2-bed. Pemberton's 2027 brochure also shows the two sizes, 38 ft x 12 ft and 42 ft x 13 ft.
Standard features on the current page include a pre-galvanised chassis, white PVCu double glazing, French doors, gas combi central heating with thermostatic radiator valves, an integrated fridge-freezer and microwave, a king-size bed and a dressing table. Options include BS 3632 residential specification, six cladding choices including lodge-style finishes, and pocket doors to the lounge.
How to identify a Pemberton Abingdon
- Start with the paperwork, then check the caravan. Check the manufacturer plate, serial or chassis information and original paperwork, then confirm the model against the dimensions, layout and specification. Plates may not spell out lodge or residential option packs.
- Measure length and width. Current models are 38 x 12 or 42 x 13. A 36 ft Abingdon points to an earlier generation, like the 2014 and 2016 examples in park adverts.
- Doors between kitchen and lounge. Bi-fold doors between kitchen and lounge are described on a 2014 example; pocket doors to the lounge are an option on the current range. Either can help place the generation, but neither is proof on its own.
- Front French doors are standard on the current range.
- Ensuite. Standard on the 42 ft model; on a 38 x 12 it depends which of the two 38 ft models it is. Check what is actually fitted.
- Cladding. Standard cladding versus lodge-style options. Record what is on the caravan.
- Residential claim. Only trust BS 3632 wording that matches the caravan's own paperwork.
Specs and typical layout

- 38 x 12 2-bed; 38 x 12 2-bed ensuite; 42 x 13 2-bed with separate ensuite toilet and basin
- Pre-galvanised chassis; white PVCu double glazing; French doors
- Gas combi central heating with thermostatic radiator valves
- Open-plan lounge with sofa bed and feature electric fire
- Fitted kitchen with integrated fridge-freezer and microwave
- Master bedroom with king-size bed and dressing table; twin second bedroom
- Options: BS 3632 residential specification; six cladding choices; pocket doors to the lounge
Older Abingdons (2014 and 2016 park adverts): sizes such as 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, with a 2014 example described with an ensuite and bi-fold kitchen to lounge doors. We could not locate a manufacturer brochure for those years, so describe an older Abingdon from its plate and what is fitted.
How much is a Pemberton Abingdon worth?
Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. A 2014 36 x 12, a current 38 x 12 and a 42 x 13 with residential specification and lodge cladding are not one product for valuation purposes, so a single range would mislead.
What would SCB actually pay?
The offer depends on the year, the exact size, whether paperwork supports residential specification or lodge cladding, damp, what is still fitted, and how collection works. A 42 x 13 is a different move and a different buyer pool from a 38 x 12. Our offer is for the caravan alone, with collection arranged by us.
Online prices and price context
- Manufacturer starting-from prices (Pemberton Abingdon page, stated inc. VAT, checked October 2026): 38 x 12 2-bed and 38 x 12 2-bed ensuite from £73,525; 42 x 13 2-bed from £80,852. These are new prices before transport, siting and park margin, and options such as BS 3632 or lodge cladding add to them.
- Park asking prices: sited Abingdons are sold as packages with the pitch, siting, connections and often fees included, so their asking prices are not comparable with the caravan alone. Treat any park figure as retail, not trade.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer RRP or ex-works price: what a new caravan cost from the factory or its price list in a given year. VAT treatment is not always stated, and siting, transport and connections are extra.
- Dealer or park retail asking price: what a seller hopes to get. A sited park price usually includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and site fees, and the seller's margin. An off-site dealer price usually includes refurbishment, warranty and margin.
- Private asking price: often lower than retail, but the seller carries the risk, time and transport, and many parks restrict private sales on the pitch.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as Static Caravan Buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected from the pitch, with the buyer taking on transport, refurbishment and resale. It is lower than retail because those costs and risks move to the buyer.
An asking price is not a sale price, and none of the online figures in this guide is a trade value.
What affects Pemberton Abingdon value?
- Year and generation: older 36 ft Abingdons are not the current range.
- Footprint: 38 x 12 versus 42 x 13.
- Ensuite actually fitted, especially on 38 x 12 examples.
- Residential BS 3632 paperwork versus holiday spec.
- Lodge cladding options actually fitted.
- Damp, roof, French door seals and appliance set.
- Collection access. A 13 ft body is a different move from a 12 ft body.
- Pitch included or not.
Known features and quirks
- Three current models, two sizes. The 38 ft comes with or without ensuite at the same starting price.
- Older Abingdons exist. Park adverts show 2014 and 2016 examples, some at 36 x 12.
- Traditional interior, optional lodge skin. Lodge-style cladding changes buyer expectations and collection notes.
- Residential is an option, not automatic. Match any BS 3632 claim to the paperwork.

Selling a Pemberton Abingdon
If the park has written to you about age limits, or you would rather not wait for a buyer who also needs the pitch, a direct trade sale is often the simpler route. Tell us the year, exact size, ensuite layout and whether residential or lodge options are documented.
SCB process
- Call 0800 644 5000 or use the free offer form on our website.

- If you accept, we arrange collection on a date that works for you and the park.
