Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
The Pemberton Rivington is a current Pemberton holiday home, named after Rivington Pike near Pemberton's Wigan base. It is sold as a 12, 13 or 14 ft wide holiday caravan and can also be built to the BS 3632 residential standard or as a lodge or park home, so two Rivingtons can be quite different. This guide explains how to identify yours, what the published prices mean and how a trade valuation works.

Model history
Leisuredays reviewed the Rivington in July 2021. It said the model is named after nearby Rivington Pike and was offered for less than £60,000. The review caravan, a 40 x 12 two-bed built to EN1647, was quoted at £39,950 including decking and set-up as a park deal. The 2021 review model had a galvanised chassis, full guttering and double glazing.
In October 2026 Pemberton's range page lists three Rivington layouts, from £80,597 including VAT for the 40 x 12 two-bed, £87,397 for the 42 x 13 three-bed and £90,354 for the 42 x 14 two-bed. Pemberton also offers the Rivington built to the BS 3632 residential standard, and lists lodge and park home versions.
We could not establish the exact launch year. The earliest dated source we found is the 2021 review. Specification has changed over time, so a 2021 Rivington and a 2026 Rivington may differ.
How to identify a Pemberton Rivington
- Start with the plate and paperwork. The manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and original paperwork are the most reliable way to confirm the model and year.
- Measure it yourself. Check the length and width with a tape rather than relying on an advert headline.
- Check the width: 12, 13 and 14 ft versions are listed, and the 42 x 13 is the three-bed.
- Patio doors are standard and front windows are an option, so a Rivington with front windows is not necessarily a different model.
- On two-bed models look for a walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom and an en-suite with a bath (a shower was the option).
- Ask whether it was built to BS 3632 and whether it is the holiday, lodge or park home version. The paperwork should say.
- Cladding varies widely (Pemberton lists six types, including CanExel, Thermowood, stucco, vinyl and woodgrain aluminium), so exterior photos alone are not a reliable model check.
- An asking price is not a value. What a park or dealer is asking tells you little about what the caravan is worth to a trade buyer.
Specs and typical layout

How much is a Pemberton Rivington worth?
Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for the Rivington because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. One range would mislead here in particular: the name covers 12, 13 and 14 ft widths, holiday caravan, BS 3632 residential, lodge and park home builds, and examples from at least 2021 to 2026, and each of those changes what a trade buyer can resell it for.
What would SCB actually pay?
Our offer is a trade price for the caravan itself, collected from where it stands. It is based on the year, confirmed size and layout, condition (damp, floors, roof and chassis), heating and glazing, and how straightforward collection will be, measured against what we can realistically resell it for. For a Rivington we also need to know the width, whether it was built to BS 3632 and whether it is the holiday, lodge or park home version, because 13 and 14 ft units can need different collection arrangements.
A trade offer will normally be lower than the retail, park and private asking prices below. Those prices often include a pitch, siting, connections, decking, site fees or a dealer margin, and the seller has time to wait for the right buyer. A trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, arranges collection and takes on the cost and risk of resale. Individual valuation recommended: send us the plate details and some photos and we will give you a figure for your caravan.
Online prices and price context
- Manufacturer list price (2026, inc VAT): from £80,597 (40 x 12 two-bed) to £90,354 (42 x 14 two-bed), Pemberton website
- Sited park retail (new 2026, with pitch): £85,885 cash price for a 40 x 12 two-bed at Neptune Caravan Park (Salop Leisure)
- Park deal (2021): £39,950 including decking and set-up for the 40 x 12 reviewed by Leisuredays
The 2021 park deal and the 2026 list price are not comparable: one is a discounted sited deal including decking, the other is a new list price before siting. The Neptune price includes a pitch. These are list, dealer, park or private asking prices; we give the year where the source states one. None of them is a trade or cash buyer price, and none should be read as what a trade buyer would pay.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer list price (RRP) and ex-works price: what a new caravan costs from the maker or its dealers. Ex-works usually excludes delivery and siting. Some sources state whether VAT is included and some do not; where a source does not say, we say so, and those figures should not be compared directly with prices that include VAT.
- Dealer retail asking (off-site): a dealer's price for a caravan not on a pitch. It includes the dealer's margin and often preparation or a warranty, and delivery and siting are usually extra.
- Sited park asking: a price for a caravan on a park pitch. It often includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and part of the site fees, and the park's margin.
- Private asking: what an owner hopes to get. It can be higher than trade but may take a long time, and buyers often need the park's approval and a pitch.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected. It is the lowest of these figures because the buyer takes on collection, any refurbishment and the resale risk, but it is usually the quickest and simplest exit.
What affects Pemberton Rivington value?
- Build standard and version: holiday (EN1647), BS 3632 residential, lodge or park home.
- Width and bedrooms: 40 x 12, 42 x 13 three-bed or 42 x 14.
- Heating: gas central heating or the all-electric option.
- Year: a 2021 and a 2026 Rivington differ in price and specification.
- Pitch or no pitch: a sited caravan's asking price includes the pitch; a trade offer is for the caravan only.
- Condition: damp, soft floors, roof, windows and chassis condition matter more than the model name.
- Appliances and fittings: present, safe and working.
- Collection access: how easy it is to get a vehicle to the caravan and move it off the pitch.
Known features and quirks
- Leisuredays found the master bedroom 'isn't the biggest' and the dressing table had little storage (2021 review).
- A residential-specification build does not by itself allow residential use; the park's site licence decides.
- Two-bed models have an en-suite bath as standard, which is unusual for a holiday caravan of this size.
FAQs
Is the Pemberton Rivington still made?
Yes. Pemberton lists the Rivington in its range in October 2026, in 40 x 12, 42 x 13 and 42 x 14 layouts.
Is every Rivington built to residential standard?
No. The standard version is an EN1647 holiday caravan. BS 3632 residential specification is an option, and Pemberton also lists lodge and park home versions, so check the plate and paperwork.
Why was a 2021 Rivington advertised for £39,950 when new ones list at over £80,000?
The £39,950 was a 2021 park deal including decking and set-up, on a model Leisuredays said cost less than £60,000 at the time. The 2026 figure is Pemberton's list price including VAT. They are different kinds of price from different years.
Will you buy my Pemberton Rivington if it is old or needs work?
We look at caravans of all ages and conditions. Age and condition change the offer, so send us the plate details and photos and we will value it individually.
