Last valuation guide update: October 2026

Introduction

The Swift Biarritz was a mid-priced holiday home launched for 2015, with a separate residential Biarritz Lodge added for 2018. This guide sets out the layouts by year, how to identify yours and how a Biarritz is valued when you sell.

Model history

Swift launched the Biarritz as an all-new mid-priced range for 2015 (Leisuredays, October 2014), at £26,970 including VAT ex-works for the 38 x 12 two-bed. By 2018 there were four Biarritz static layouts plus a separate Biarritz Lodge, a 40ft x 13ft model built to the BS 3632 residential standard.

The 2020 and 2021 line-up was 35 x 12 and 38 x 12 two-bed and a 38 x 12 'ET' three-bed. The Biarritz is not in Swift's current range; the latest dated example we found is a 2021 model.

How to identify a Swift Biarritz

  • Start with the plate and paperwork. Check the manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and any original paperwork, then confirm the model against the measured size, layout and specification.
  • Width: most are 12ft wide; a 35 x 13 three-bed was offered in 2015, and the Biarritz Lodge is 40 x 13.
  • ET: the 2020 to 2021 three-bed is the 38 x 12 'ET'.
  • 2020 38 x 12 two-bed: 11.75m x 3.70m, six berths, two toilets.
  • Measure it yourself. Advert headlines often round sizes or misstate the width.

Specs and typical layout

This is a summary of the sources we used, not a full factory specification for every year.

  • 2015 layouts: 38 x 12 two-bed; 35 x 12 three-bed with two toilets; 35 x 13 three-bed
  • 2020 to 2021 layouts: 35 x 12 two-bed; 38 x 12 two-bed; 38 x 12 ET three-bed
  • 2020 38 x 12 two-bed: double glazing and gas central heating listed as extra-cost options (Out and About Live), two toilets, sleeps 6
  • Biarritz Lodge (from 2018): 40 x 13, BS 3632

How much is a Swift Biarritz worth?

There is no single figure for a Swift Biarritz. A cash offer depends on the individual caravan: its year, confirmed size and layout, specification, condition, and what collection involves. Model years run from 2015 to at least 2021, with different layouts and a separate residential lodge, so a single range would mislead.

Individual valuation recommended.

What would SCB actually pay?

We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference.

What we pay for a Swift Biarritz is a trade price for the caravan itself, removed from the pitch. It will be below park, dealer and private asking prices, because those include things a trade buyer does not get (a pitch, siting, site-fee packages, warranties and the seller's margin) and leave out costs a trade buyer carries (collection, transport, refurbishment and resale).

Online prices and price context

  • Manufacturer ex-works, 2015 (inc VAT): £26,970 for the 38 x 12 two-bed (Leisuredays, October 2014)
  • Manufacturer list, 2020: from £33,370 (35 x 12 2 bed) to £35,875 (38 x 12 3 bed ET) (dealer reproducing Swift's price list; VAT basis not stated)
  • Biarritz Lodge ex-works, 2018 (inc VAT): £44,000 (Leisuredays)
  • Park asking prices (October 2026): £37,999 for a 2021 38 x 12 (Hawthorns, with pitch); £52,995 for a 2020 38 x 12 three-bed (Mowbreck Park)

Park prices include a pitch and the park's margin. The difference between the two park prices shows how much the park and package matter.

Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean

  • Manufacturer RRP or list price: what the maker quotes for a new caravan, usually before options, delivery, siting and pitch fees. Check whether VAT is included.
  • Ex-works price: the factory price for a new unit before delivery and siting; review sites quote it for the model year they tested.
  • Dealer retail asking price: a dealer's price for new or used stock. Off-site dealer prices usually exclude a pitch; dealer margin is built in.
  • Sited park asking price: what a park asks for a caravan already on a pitch. It often includes siting, connections, steps, decking and sometimes a period of site fees, plus the park's margin.
  • Private asking price: what an owner hopes to get, often with the caravan staying on its pitch, subject to park approval and any park commission.
  • Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as SCB pays for the caravan itself, removed from the pitch and collected. It is lower than retail because the buyer pays for collection, transport, any refurbishment, a new pitch or resale, and takes on the risk.

An asking price is not a sale price, and neither is what a trade buyer pays. None of the figures in this guide is an SCB purchase price.

What affects Swift Biarritz value?

  • Year and paperwork. The plate, serial number and any original paperwork confirm the model year and specification.
  • Confirmed size and layout. Measured length, width and bedroom count, not an advert headline.
  • Heating and glazing. Whether central heating and double glazing were fitted, and whether the heating works.
  • Condition. Damp, roof, floors, windows, cladding and chassis condition matter more than cosmetic finish.
  • Appliances and fittings. Whether they are present, safe and working.
  • Collection access. Ground conditions, access for the transport vehicle and the caravan's width all affect cost.
  • Pitch or no pitch. A trade buyer is buying the caravan, not the pitch, so pitch value and site-fee packages do not transfer.

Known features and quirks

  • The Biarritz Lodge is a different, residential-standard product under the same name.
  • The 2015 three-bed 35 x 12 had two toilets.

FAQs

Is the Swift Biarritz still made?

No. It is not in Swift's range in October 2026; the latest dated example we found is from 2021.

Is a Biarritz Lodge the same as a Biarritz?

No. The Lodge is a 40 x 13 BS 3632 residential model introduced for 2018.

Can I sell it and keep the pitch?

No. A trade buyer buys the caravan and removes it. Talk to your park about notice, any final site fees and what happens to the pitch.
