Introduction
Looking up a Swift Loire value, a 28 x 10 Loire, or the difference between a Loire and a Burgundy? Loire is Swift's practical family holiday-home name with both 10 ft and 12 ft layouts. Heating, glazing and even the standard cladding colour have changed between generations. This guide keeps those generations separate, does not mix Loire with Burgundy or Bordeaux, and treats the trade figure as an individual quote.

Model history
2015 generation. Leisuredays reviewed a 35 x 12 3-bed Loire in January 2015 as a starter-oriented family holiday home with seven configurations from 28 x 10 2-bed upwards. That review describes a Zinphos painted chassis with a three-year finish warranty as standard, a fully galvanised chassis as an option, and double glazing and full central heating among the extras. Ex-works: £23,471 including VAT. That dates an established Loire name by 2015. It does not prove the first year.
Return for 2022. Leisuredays' November 2021 review of the 2022 Loire says Swift welcomed the Loire back, with a sweeping new interior. The review model was a 35 x 12 2-bed on a galvanised chassis with bonded side walls and a large front bay. In that review, an electric fire, central heating and Thermaglass double glazing were still listed among optional extras. Ex-works: £34,150. A sited 2022 classified spotted then in Peebles was £42,000. A Leisuredays comment reply at the time said 28 x 12 prices started at £31,090. Those are historical new and asking figures, not used trade values.
Wyldecrest's Loire page describing the 2022 range lists Sandy Beige woodgrain textured aluminium cladding and Fusion galvanised chassis among the standard features for that generation's marketing copy.
2026 brochure. Swift's 2026 holiday-homes brochure includes Loire with the same eight layout set listed in the quick guide, Sandy Beige cladding as standard, Thermaglas double glazing and condensing gas combi central heating in the highlights, integrated fridge-freezer and microwave on 12 ft models, and under-counter fridge on 10 ft models.
2027 refresh. Swift's live Loire product page and the downloadable 2027 holiday home and lodge brochure both describe Loire as refreshed for the 2027 season. The eight layouts continue. Standard exterior wording moves to Chateaux Grey aluminium cladding with white uPVC double glazing. Hallway door is listed for 35 ft and 38 ft models. Ensuite is listed for 35 ft and 38 ft 2-bed and 3-bed models. Coffee table is excepted on 10 ft models. Swift's homepage (checked October 2026) is promoting the 2027 season, and Loire appears in the 2027 brochure range set alongside Vendee, Clermont, Morlaix, Margaux, Bordeaux, Provence and Royan.
Do not confuse with Burgundy. Burgundy is a separate Swift family model already covered on Static Caravan Buyer. Loire is the model with both 10 ft and 12 ft widths in the current brochure set. Bordeaux, Provence and Royan are different names again.
How to identify a Swift Loire
- Start with the paperwork, then check the caravan. Start with the manufacturer plate, serial/chassis information and any original paperwork, then confirm the model against the actual dimensions, layout and specification. Swift also builds dealer specials, so equipment can differ from the brochure.
- Width is a hard check. Current Loire layouts include 10 ft (28 x 10, 32 x 10) and 12 ft sizes. A 10 ft caravan is not identified by copying a 12 ft brochure page.
- Length and bedroom count. Eight current layouts as in the quick guide. The 2022 review set is close but not identical in how lengths were listed, so do not invent continuity from length alone.
- Exterior colour by generation. Sandy Beige woodgrain aluminium is the standard finish in the 2026 brochure and in 2022-era marketing checked. Chateaux Grey is the standard finish in the 2027 brochure and on the live product page (October 2026). Optional colour upgrades exist in both generations, so cladding colour helps but does not prove the year on its own.
- Front bay window. Current Loire material emphasises a front aspect bay. That is common on several Swift holiday homes, so use it with the plate and size, not alone.
- Ensuite. Current Loire wording puts ensuite on the 35 ft and 38 ft 2-bed and 3-bed models, not on every layout. The 2022 Leisuredays 35 x 12 2-bed review described a small ensuite with WC and basin.
- 10 ft kitchen cue. Current material gives 10 ft models an under-counter fridge and excepts the integrated fridge-freezer and microwave that 12 ft models carry.

What changed between generations (in the sources checked):
- Central heating and Thermaglas / Thermaglass double glazing: optional in the 2015 and 2022 reviews; standard in the 2026 and 2027 Loire material
- Standard cladding colour: Sandy Beige in 2022-era and 2026 brochure wording; Chateaux Grey in 2027 brochure and live page wording

How much is a Swift Loire worth?
New prices and park adverts are easy to find and easy to misuse. Published review ex-works figures have ranged from £23,471 (2015) to £34,150 (2022 review), dealer off-site asks for new Loires were advertised from about £29,995 in October 2026, and sited packages sit higher once delivery, connections and site fees are inside the number. None of these is a cash offer for a used Loire with the pitch left behind.
Swift's own Loire product page shows the model price as POA and directs buyers to a park or distributor.
Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. A 2015 28 x 10 where heating and double glazing were options and a 2027 38 x 12 with both as standard are very different caravans under one name, so a single range would mislead.
What would SCB actually pay?
We quote the individual caravan: year, exact size, 10 ft or 12 ft, 2-bed or 3-bed, whether central heating and double glazing are actually fitted, damp, and collection. A 28 x 10 without the current standard kit is not priced as a 38 x 12 3-bed turnkey park package.
The figure is for the caravan alone, with collection arranged by us. It is not the ex-works price, not a distributor from-price, and not a site-fees-included classified.
Online prices and price context
Examples checked October 2026 unless noted as historical review figures:
- Historical review ex-works: £23,471 (2015 review) and £34,150 (2022 review, 35 x 12 2-bed). Comment reply in 2022 said 28 x 12 prices started at £31,090.
- Historical sited ask quoted in the 2022 review: £42,000 (Peebles).
- Off-site distributor asking prices (checked October 2026, VAT basis not stated): UK Caravan Centre advertises new Loire layouts from £29,995 (28 x 10 2-bed) up through figures such as £32,995 (32 x 12 2-bed), £33,995 (35 x 12 2-bed) and £36,495 (35 x 12 3-bed / 38 x 12 2-bed) on that page. These are dealer retail asks, not Swift factory RRP and not trade purchase prices.
- Sited park asking price: £51,995 for a brand-new 2026 Loire 32 x 12 2-bed at Bridlington Caravan Centre / Charity Farm, with the listing stating price includes delivery, siting, connections and 2026 site fees, plus extras noted as voiles, lift-up bed and coffee table.
- Sited park asking price: £16,500 for a pre-owned 2017 Loire 28 x 10 2-bed at Newlands Holidays, Charmouth, with pitch fees and licence expiry stated separately on the page.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer RRP or ex-works price: what a new caravan cost from the factory or its price list in a given year. VAT treatment is not always stated, and siting, transport and connections are extra.
- Dealer or park retail asking price: what a seller hopes to get. A sited park price usually includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and site fees, and the seller's margin. An off-site dealer price usually includes refurbishment, warranty and margin.
- Private asking price: often lower than retail, but the seller carries the risk, time and transport, and many parks restrict private sales on the pitch.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as Static Caravan Buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected from the pitch, with the buyer taking on transport, refurbishment and resale. It is lower than retail because those costs and risks move to the buyer.
An asking price is not a sale price, and none of the online figures in this guide is a trade value.
What affects Swift Loire value?
- Year, and whether central heating and double glazing are fitted. They were options in the 2015 and 2022 reviews and standard in the 2026 and 2027 material.
- Width and length: 10 ft versus 12 ft, and which of the eight current layouts it is.
- Ensuite present or not (current wording ties ensuite to 35 ft and 38 ft layouts).
- Chassis type and condition on older examples: painted Zinphos versus galvanised.
- Cladding colour and condition; optional environmental or anthracite-frame packs.
- Damp, roof, bay window seals.
- Whether the kitchen still has the integrated appliances expected for that width.
- Dealer specials that add or remove equipment.
- Collection of a 10 ft or 12 ft body and distance from the park.
- Anything in the advert that is not the caravan: decking, site fees, furniture packs.
Known features and quirks
- 10 ft models exist. Loire is one of the Swift holiday-home names where current brochures still list 10 ft widths. Do not assume every Loire is 12 ft.
- Welcomed back for 2022. Leisuredays' wording implies a gap after the earlier generation. Exact factory off-sale years were not established from a dated Swift notice in the sources checked.
- Standard spec moved up. Gas combi central heating and Thermaglas double glazing are standard in current Loire material. In the 2015 and 2022 reviews they were options. Price an older caravan for what is fitted.
- Cladding colour changed in the brochure set. Sandy Beige in the 2026 brochure; Chateaux Grey in the 2027 brochure and live page. Options can override either.
- Not Burgundy. Burgundy is a different Swift model. Loire's current brochure presence includes dedicated 2026 and 2027 sections; do not borrow Burgundy sizes, cladding notes or prices.
- Sofa-bed berth language. Marketing and brochure lines count sofa-bed berths differently (4 to 6 plus 2, or a 4-8 summary). Use the technical details for the exact layout rather than inflating a private advert.
FAQs
What sizes is the Swift Loire?
Current Swift brochures list eight layouts: 28 x 10, 28 x 12, 32 x 10 and 32 x 12 as 2-beds, plus 35 x 12 and 38 x 12 in both 2-bed and 3-bed form. Earlier reviews also document Loire sizes in that family. Measure yours.
Is the Swift Loire double glazed?
It depends heavily on the year. Thermaglas double glazing is standard in Swift's 2026 and 2027 Loire material. In the 2015 and 2022 reviews, double glazing was an optional extra.
Does the Swift Loire have central heating?
Again, it depends on the year. Condensing gas combi central heating is standard in the current material. In the 2015 and 2022 reviews, full central heating was optional. Check what is actually fitted.
Is Loire the same as Burgundy?
No. Both are Swift holiday homes, but they are different models with different layout sets. Loire currently includes 10 ft widths; the Burgundy sources used for Static Caravan Buyer's Burgundy guide are 12 ft layouts.
How much is a used Swift Loire worth?
Individual valuation recommended. Ex-works, distributor from-prices and park packages are new or asking figures, not used trade values. Our offer depends on the year, size, heating and glazing, and condition.
Selling a Swift Loire
Loire models are common enough that private buyers exist, and common enough that park age rules still strand them. A direct trade sale is the simplest route when you want the caravan collected and the pitch cleared.
If you are not sure which generation you have, the plate, the paperwork and a tape measure are enough. We would rather price the caravan you have than the layout in a brochure.
SCB process
- Call 0800 644 5000 or use the free offer form on our website.
- Tell us what the manufacturer plate and paperwork say: the year, size, bedrooms, heating and glazing, condition and where the caravan is sited. Photos help.
- Our team normally aims to contact you within 24 hours, and aims to make an offer within 48 hours of that contact. These are aims, not guarantees.
- If you accept, we arrange collection on a date that works for you and the park.
- Payment is made on collection day before the caravan is loaded.
There are no estate-agent fees and no commission.
