Last valuation guide update: October 2026

Introduction

The Swift Margaux is a new Swift holiday home, launched as an all-new range for 2025 with a townhouse-style interior. The 2025 and 2026 versions differ in sizes and in whether central heating was standard, and dealer prices vary widely by channel and VAT basis. This guide explains how to identify yours and how a trade valuation works.

Model history

Swift launched the Margaux as an all-new range for 2025, with a townhouse-style interior, a galvanised chassis and Swift's bonded wall construction. Leisuredays reviewed the 38 x 12 two-bed and listed central heating among the options. For 2026 the 33 x 12 was dropped, a 39 x 12 was added, and dealer specifications list gas combi central heating. Dealers are also advertising 2027 Margaux models.

How to identify a Swift Margaux

  • Start with the plate and paperwork. The manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and original paperwork are the most reliable way to confirm the model and year.
  • Measure it yourself. Check the length and width with a tape rather than relying on an advert headline.
  • Look for indigo panelling and townhouse-style styling.
  • Bonded walls give smooth, rigid sides.
  • On the 38 x 12 two-bed, look for an en-suite to the master bedroom.
  • A 33 x 12 can only be a 2025 model; a 39 x 12 is 2026 or later.
  • On a 2025 Margaux, check whether central heating was fitted.
  • An asking price is not a value. What a park or dealer is asking tells you little about what the caravan is worth to a trade buyer.

Specs and typical layout

This is a summary of the sources we found, not a full factory specification for every year.

  • 2025 layouts: 33 x 12 two-bed, 35 x 12 two-bed, 38 x 12 two-bed, 38 x 12 ES two-bed, 38 x 12 three-bed
  • 2026 layouts: 35 x 12, three 38 x 12 layouts, 39 x 12
  • Construction: galvanised chassis (Fusion chassis with 10-year finish warranty in 2026 spec), bonded walls, aluminium cladding in three colours
  • Glazing and heating: Thermaglas double glazing; central heating optional in 2025, condensing gas combi central heating in 2026 dealer spec
  • Interior: townhouse-style, indigo panelling, full-height front window, en-suite to master on the 38 x 12 two-bed

How much is a Swift Margaux worth?

Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for the Margaux because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. It is a very new model with little resale history, and new prices for the same size vary by about £20,000 between off-site and inc-VAT dealer channels, so a single figure would mislead.

What would SCB actually pay?

Our offer is a trade price for the caravan itself, collected from where it stands. It is based on the year, confirmed size and layout, condition (damp, floors, roof and chassis), heating and glazing, and how straightforward collection will be, measured against what we can realistically resell it for. On a nearly new Margaux we also check what remains of any transferable warranty and whether central heating is fitted on a 2025 model.

A trade offer will normally be lower than the retail, park and private asking prices below. Those prices often include a pitch, siting, connections, decking, site fees or a dealer margin, and the seller has time to wait for the right buyer. A trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, arranges collection and takes on the cost and risk of resale. Individual valuation recommended: send us the plate details and some photos and we will give you a figure for your caravan.

Online prices and price context

  • New dealer price (inc VAT, 2026): £57,125.82 (35 x 12) to £63,351.59 (39 x 12), Surf Bay Leisure
  • New dealer price (VAT basis not stated, off-site): from £41,495 (35 x 12) to £45,745 (38 x 12 three-bed), UK Caravan Centre, checked October 2026
  • New dealer price (2027, VAT basis not stated): £66,392.33 for a 38 x 12 two-bed (Lloyds Caravans)
  • Sited park price (2025): £69,995 for a 38 x 12 with decking in Powys (Leisuredays)

UK Caravan Centre does not describe its prices as ex-works or say whether VAT is included, and they are about £15,000 below Swift-dealer prices that include VAT, so they are not a like-for-like list price. The Powys price includes a pitch and decking. These are list, dealer, park or private asking prices; we give the year where the source states one. None of them is a trade or cash buyer price, and none should be read as what a trade buyer would pay.

Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean

  • Manufacturer list price (RRP) and ex-works price: what a new caravan costs from the maker or its dealers. Ex-works usually excludes delivery and siting. Some sources state whether VAT is included and some do not; where a source does not say, we say so, and those figures should not be compared directly with prices that include VAT.
  • Dealer retail asking (off-site): a dealer's price for a caravan not on a pitch. It includes the dealer's margin and often preparation or a warranty, and delivery and siting are usually extra.
  • Sited park asking: a price for a caravan on a park pitch. It often includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and part of the site fees, and the park's margin.
  • Private asking: what an owner hopes to get. It can be higher than trade but may take a long time, and buyers often need the park's approval and a pitch.
  • Trade or cash buyer value: what a trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected. It is the lowest of these figures because the buyer takes on collection, any refurbishment and the resale risk, but it is usually the quickest and simplest exit.

What affects Swift Margaux value?

  • Model year: 2025 or 2026 onwards spec.
  • Central heating: optional on 2025 models.
  • Layout: size, bedrooms and en-suite.
  • Warranty remaining and transferability.
  • Pitch or no pitch.
  • Condition: damp, soft floors, roof, windows and chassis condition matter more than the model name.
  • Appliances and fittings: present, safe and working.
  • Collection access: how easy it is to get a vehicle to the caravan and move it off the pitch.

Known features and quirks

  • On a 2025 Margaux, check whether central heating was fitted, because it was an option that year. A 33 x 12 can only be a 2025 model.
  • Prices vary a lot between dealers depending on VAT basis and whether options are included.

FAQs

When was the Swift Margaux launched?

As an all-new range for 2025.

Does a 2025 Margaux have central heating?

Not necessarily. Leisuredays listed central heating as an option on 2025 models. It is in the 2026 dealer specification.

Why do new Margaux prices vary so much?

Some dealers quote prices including VAT and options, others do not state VAT, and sited prices include a pitch and decking.

Will you buy my Swift Margaux if it is old or needs work?

We look at caravans of all ages and conditions. Age and condition change the offer, so send us the plate details and photos and we will value it individually.
