Last valuation guide update: October 2026
Introduction
Looking up a Willerby Granada value, a Granada XL, or whether a caravan advertised as a Granada Lodge is the same thing? Public evidence for this name is stronger on sizes and a dated review than on a full production timeline. This guide sticks to what dated reviews, directories and adverts actually show, keeps Granada XL and Granada Lodge separate, and treats the trade figure as an individual quote.
Willerby Granada quick guide
| Manufacturer | Willerby, Hull |
| Naming | Used market shows Granada, Granada XL and (separately) adverts titled Granada Lodge. Do not treat XL or Lodge as universal from the name alone |
| Best-documented evidence | A January 2010 Leisuredays review of a Granada XL, plus dated dealer and park adverts from the 2000s into about 2010. We could not establish a launch year or a last production year |
| Documented Granada / XL sizes | Leisuredays (2010) describes five 2-bedroom Granada models from 28 ft to 38 ft, all 12 ft wide, with the reviewed XL as 38 x 12. Adverts also show 35 x 12 and 36 x 12 examples |
| Bedrooms | Mostly 2 bedrooms. A major dealer also sold a 2008 Granada at 38 x 12 with 3 bedrooms, sleeping 8, as part of its own exclusive package, so 3-bed versions exist. |
| Granada Lodge | Keep separate. One park listing titles a Granada Lodge at about 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, and claims residential specification. That is not the same evidence as the Granada XL review |
| Heating and glazing | Varies. The 2010 review lists PVCu double glazing as an option. Some later adverts claim central heating and double glazing. Do not assume either |
| Trade value | Individual valuation recommended. |
| Current status | Not on Willerby's live holiday-home range (checked October 2026). No replacement model confirmed |
Model history
The Granada name turns up often enough on the used market that people treat XL and Lodge as one family with one set of specs. That is not what the clearer sources show.
What is documented:
- January 2010 Leisuredays review: the Willerby Granada XL as a 38 ft x 12 ft, 2-bedroom holiday home that sleeps six with a lounge sofa bed. The review says it was one of five two-bedroom Granada models ranging in length from 28 ft (described as new for the 2010 season) to 38 ft, all 12 ft wide. Standard described: pre-galvanised chassis, aluminium cladding, steel pantile roof, BS EN 1647. PVCu double glazing is listed as an option. Layout notes include a mid-front entrance, combined lounge and dining, U-shaped kitchen with integrated fridge-freezer as standard, a good-size shower room, a double main bedroom with a small ensuite toilet, and a twin second bedroom.
- Dealer and park adverts: a 2008 Granada listed as 38 x 12, 3 bedrooms, sleeps 8, with a dealer-exclusive package (The Leisure Company); a 2003 Granada listed as 35 x 12, 2 bedrooms (Flower of May, sited); a Seaside Leisure Parks advert titled Granada XL as 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, with central heating and double glazing claimed; a Parklink / Oakcliff advert for a Granada XL as 38 x 12, 2 bedrooms, with central heating, double glazing and an ensuite toilet claimed.
- Directories: Go Caravanning has pages for a 2003 Granada (37 x 12, 3 bedrooms, sleeps 4), a 2006 Granada (35 x 12, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4) and a 2010 Granada (38 x 12, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 6). That site warns its data can be incomplete, so treat those as prompts to check the caravan, not as factory sheets.
Granada Lodge is evidenced only as a separate advert title in the sources checked: Holiday Park Homes lists a Willerby Granada Lodge of about 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, at Pisces & Acorn Country Park, with the listing claiming residential specification, Jack and Jill shower room and an asking price of £32,000. Do not fold that into the Granada XL review. Confirm Lodge wording from plate and paperwork.
No Willerby page we found gives a first year, a last year, or a model that replaced the Granada. Being absent from today's brochure is not proof of when production ended. It only means the Granada is not a current Willerby holiday-home model.
How to identify a Willerby Granada
- Start with the paperwork, then check the caravan. Start with the manufacturer plate, serial/chassis information and any original paperwork, then confirm the model against the actual dimensions, layout and specification. Plates may not show marketing suffixes such as XL or Lodge.
- Willerby can sometimes help with the age. Willerby's help centre says it holds historic records and may be able to find a home's age from the serial number, although it cannot guarantee records for every home it has built.
- Measure length and width. The clearer Granada and Granada XL evidence clusters at 12 ft wide, with lengths from about 28 ft to 38 ft. An advert that says XL at 36 x 12 and a review that says XL at 38 x 12 are both on the public record. Measure yours; do not assume XL always means 38 ft.
- Ensuite toilet cue on the XL review. The 2010 Leisuredays review highlights a small ensuite toilet to the main bedroom on the 38 x 12 XL. Other Granadas may differ.
- Keep Lodge separate. If the paperwork or a reliable park document says Granada Lodge, record that. Do not upgrade a plain Granada or Granada XL to Lodge from an advert title alone.
- No unique exterior signature. Aluminium cladding and a steel pantile roof are ordinary for the period and will not identify the model on their own.
Specs and typical layout
Treat this as a description of sources that could be checked, not a full factory range sheet for every year.
Granada XL (Leisuredays, January 2010, 38 x 12, 2 bed):
- 38 x 12, 2 bedrooms, sleeps 6 with sofa bed
- Pre-galvanised chassis; aluminium cladding; steel pantile pitched roof
- BS EN 1647
- Integrated fridge-freezer described as standard
- Main bedroom with double bed and small ensuite toilet; twin second bedroom; separate shower room
- PVCu double glazing optional in that review
Other Granada / XL listings (individual caravans):
- 38 x 12 3-bed (2008 dealer-package example, sleeps 8)
- 35 x 12 2-bed (2003 Flower of May example)
- 36 x 12 titled Granada XL (Seaside Leisure Parks advert: central heating and double glazing claimed)
- 38 x 12 titled Granada XL (Parklink / Oakcliff advert: central heating, double glazing, ensuite toilet claimed)
Some Granadas were sold with dealer-exclusive packages. A 2008 example from The Leisure Company listed double glazing, central heating, winter insulation and a tiled pitched roof as part of that package, so equipment can differ from the factory standard.
Granada Lodge (separate advert evidence):
- About 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, residential specification claimed on the Holiday Park Homes listing. Confirm on the individual caravan.
How much is a Willerby Granada worth?
Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for this model because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. Granadas span roughly the 2000s to about 2010, 28 ft to 38 ft, 2 or 3 bedrooms, factory or dealer-package equipment, and adverts titled XL or Lodge, so one range would mislead. The public figures we found are asking prices, not completed trade purchases.
What would SCB actually pay?
We price the caravan in front of us. A 2003 35 x 12, a heated 38 x 12 XL, a 2008 dealer-package 3-bed and a lodge-titled example are not the same offer, and none should be guessed from a park advert.
Our offer is for the caravan alone, with collection arranged by us. It is not a park retail price and not a best-case private sale to someone who also wants the pitch.
Online prices and price context
Asking prices disagree with each other, which is why they are a poor guide to trade value. Examples checked October 2026 (VAT treatment not stated):
- Sited park asking price: £13,995 for a 2003 Granada, 35 x 12, 2 bedrooms (Flower of May, Fir Tree Holiday Park; site fees stated separately on that park's stock pages).
- Sited park asking price: £21,500 for a caravan titled Granada XL, 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, with central heating and double glazing claimed (Seaside Leisure Parks, Highfields & The Haven, Skegness).
- Sited park asking price: £40,000 for a caravan titled Granada XL, 38 x 12, 2 bedrooms, with central heating, double glazing, decking and 2026 site fees claimed in the advert (Parklink listing for Oakcliff Holiday Park, Dawlish).
- Sited park asking price (Lodge title): £32,000 for a caravan titled Granada Lodge, about 36 x 12, 2 bedrooms, residential specification claimed (Holiday Park Homes / Pisces & Acorn Country Park, Welney).
These are asking prices only. Sited figures can include the pitch, fees, decking and the seller's margin. None is what a dealer paid or would pay.
Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean
- Manufacturer RRP or ex-works price: what a new caravan cost from the factory or its price list in a given year. VAT treatment is not always stated, and siting, transport and connections are extra.
- Dealer or park retail asking price: what a seller hopes to get. A sited park price usually includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and site fees, and the seller's margin. An off-site dealer price usually includes refurbishment, warranty and margin.
- Private asking price: often lower than retail, but the seller carries the risk, time and transport, and many parks restrict private sales on the pitch.
- Trade or cash buyer value: what a buyer such as Static Caravan Buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected from the pitch, with the buyer taking on transport, refurbishment and resale. It is lower than retail because those costs and risks move to the buyer.
An asking price is not a sale price, and none of the online figures in this guide is a trade value.
What affects Willerby Granada value?
- Confirmed size. A 28 x 12 and a 38 x 12 do not appeal to the same buyer in the same way.
- Whether paperwork supports Granada, Granada XL or Granada Lodge. Do not invent a trim ladder from the suffix alone.
- The year, and what the plate actually says.
- Damp, roof and window seals.
- Heating that works, and whether double glazing is present. The 2010 review treated double glazing as optional.
- Ensuite toilet versus a simpler bathroom layout.
- Dealer-package equipment such as central heating and winter insulation, if fitted and working.
- Collection access and distance.
- Pitch-inclusive adverts versus a removal sale.
Park age limits matter to a private buyer who needs the pitch. They matter less when the caravan is being bought to come off the site.
Known features and quirks
- XL is not a single proven size in every advert. Leisuredays reviewed an XL at 38 x 12. At least one live park advert titles an XL at 36 x 12. Measure and check paperwork.
- Granada Lodge is a separate advert title in the sources checked. Do not treat Lodge as a universal Granada upgrade package.
- Pre-galvanised chassis is highlighted in the 2010 XL review as a selling point versus painted chassis on some rivals of that era. Do not assume it on every older Granada without checking.
- Not a current Willerby. Buyers comparing it with a new Rio or Sheraton Anniversary are looking at a different product and a different price world.
- Owner feedback on the reviewed XL (a 2012 comment under the Leisuredays review) mentioned lounge cushions stretching and bathroom carpet holding damp. That is one owner's experience, not a factory defect notice.
FAQs
What size is a Willerby Granada?
It depends on the individual caravan. Leisuredays (2010) describes five 2-bedroom Granadas from 28 ft to 38 ft, all 12 ft wide, with the reviewed XL at 38 x 12. Adverts also show 35 x 12 and 36 x 12 examples. Measure yours.
What is a Willerby Granada XL?
In the January 2010 Leisuredays review, the Granada XL was the 38 x 12 2-bedroom model in a wider Granada length range. Other adverts use the XL title on different lengths. Confirm from plate, paperwork and measurement rather than from the advert title alone.
Is a Willerby Granada Lodge the same as a Granada XL?
Not on the evidence we found. Granada Lodge appears as a separate advert title (about 36 x 12, residential specification claimed on one listing). Keep it separate until paperwork proves otherwise.
Is the Willerby Granada still made?
It is not on Willerby's live holiday-home range (checked October 2026). We could not establish when production ended or whether any model replaced it.
How much is a Willerby Granada worth?
Individual valuation recommended. Sited asking prices checked in October 2026 ranged from £13,995 to £40,000 on different bases, including pitches and fees. Those are not trade values.
Selling a Willerby Granada
If the park has written to you about age limits, or you would rather not wait for a buyer who also needs the pitch, a direct trade sale is often the simpler route.
We buy Willerby Granada, Granada XL and related holiday homes across the UK.
A compact 2-bed Granada and a 38 x 12 XL need different notes on the valuation. Send the details and we will price the caravan you actually have.
