Last valuation guide update: October 2026

Introduction

The Willerby Salsa is a 2010s Willerby holiday caravan. Public evidence is limited: we could not locate a Willerby brochure or a review, and the Salsa is not on Willerby's website, so this guide is based on the dated examples we found on dealer, park and private adverts. It explains what those adverts show, how to check your caravan and why it needs an individual valuation.

Model history

The Salsa was a Willerby holiday home of the early to mid 2010s. Dated examples we found include a 2011 36 x 12 described as a Salsa Eco, a 2013 35 x 12 two-bed, a 2015 35 x 12 three-bed and a 2016 37 x 12 two-bed.

Some adverts use the name 'Salsa Eco', on 35 x 12 and 36 x 12 examples. We could not confirm from Willerby what the Eco version changed.

We could not locate a Willerby brochure or review, so launch and end years are not established. Dealer adverts show what individual caravans had, not the factory specification.

How to identify a Willerby Salsa

  • Start with the plate and paperwork. The manufacturer plate, serial or chassis number and original paperwork are the most reliable way to confirm the model and year.
  • Measure it yourself. Check the length and width with a tape rather than relying on an advert headline.
  • Check whether the plate says Salsa or Salsa Eco.
  • Every example we found is 12 ft wide; check the length (35, 36 or 37 ft).
  • Check the heating: gas central heating, warm-air blown heating or electric heaters have all been advertised.
  • Some three-beds have an extra WC off the hallway.
  • An asking price is not a value. What a park or dealer is asking tells you little about what the caravan is worth to a trade buyer.

Specs and typical layout

This is a summary of the sources we found, not a full factory specification for every year.

  • Sizes in adverts: 35 x 12 (two- and three-bed), 36 x 12 (two-bed, described as Salsa Eco), 37 x 12 (two-bed, 2016)
  • Bedrooms: 2 or 3; sleeps up to 8 in three-bed form (adverts)
  • Heating: gas central heating, warm-air blown heating with gas fire, or electric blow heaters, depending on the example
  • Glazing: double glazing on the dated examples we found
  • Other features in adverts: extra WC off the hallway on some three-beds; large master bedroom on the 2016 37 x 12

How much is a Willerby Salsa worth?

Individual valuation recommended. We do not publish a fixed trade-value band for the Salsa because year, specification, condition and collection requirements can make too much difference. The heating type is the biggest split across Salsa adverts (gas central heating versus electric), and the sizes and Eco wording vary, so one range would mislead.

What would SCB actually pay?

Our offer is a trade price for the caravan itself, collected from where it stands. It is based on the year, confirmed size and layout, condition (damp, floors, roof and chassis), heating and glazing, and how straightforward collection will be, measured against what we can realistically resell it for. On a Salsa the heating type is one of the first things we ask about.

A trade offer will normally be lower than the retail, park and private asking prices below. Those prices often include a pitch, siting, connections, decking, site fees or a dealer margin, and the seller has time to wait for the right buyer. A trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, arranges collection and takes on the cost and risk of resale. Individual valuation recommended: send us the plate details and some photos and we will give you a figure for your caravan.

Online prices and price context

  • Off-site dealer asking (undated advert): £8,995 for a 35 x 12 three-bed with blown-air heating (My Static Caravan, Somerset)
  • Sited park asking: £22,000 for a 2013 35 x 12 two-bed with central heating and double glazing (Seaside Leisure Parks, since sold)
  • Private asking (sited): £14,995 for a 2011 36 x 12 two-bed with electric heaters, including park commission and remaining 2025 site fees (Private Sale Caravans)

The park and private prices include a pitch, and the private price also covers park commission and part of a year's site fees. The off-site dealer price includes the dealer's margin but no pitch. These are list, dealer, park or private asking prices; we give the year where the source states one. None of them is a trade or cash buyer price, and none should be read as what a trade buyer would pay.

Retail vs private vs trade: what the numbers mean

  • Manufacturer list price (RRP) and ex-works price: what a new caravan costs from the maker or its dealers. Ex-works usually excludes delivery and siting. Some sources state whether VAT is included and some do not; where a source does not say, we say so, and those figures should not be compared directly with prices that include VAT.
  • Dealer retail asking (off-site): a dealer's price for a caravan not on a pitch. It includes the dealer's margin and often preparation or a warranty, and delivery and siting are usually extra.
  • Sited park asking: a price for a caravan on a park pitch. It often includes the pitch, siting, connections, sometimes decking and part of the site fees, and the park's margin.
  • Private asking: what an owner hopes to get. It can be higher than trade but may take a long time, and buyers often need the park's approval and a pitch.
  • Trade or cash buyer value: what a trade buyer pays for the caravan alone, collected. It is the lowest of these figures because the buyer takes on collection, any refurbishment and the resale risk, but it is usually the quickest and simplest exit.

What affects Willerby Salsa value?

  • Heating: gas central heating or electric.
  • Size and bedrooms: 35, 36 or 37 ft; two or three bedrooms.
  • Year and park age limits.
  • Pitch or no pitch.
  • Condition: damp, soft floors, roof, windows and chassis condition matter more than the model name.
  • Appliances and fittings: present, safe and working.
  • Collection access: how easy it is to get a vehicle to the caravan and move it off the pitch.

Known features and quirks

  • Heating varies more than on many Willerby models: we found gas central heating, warm-air blown heating and electric blow heaters on different Salsas.
  • The 2016 37 x 12 was praised by the dealer for a large master bedroom for a 12 ft wide caravan.
  • Some three-beds have an extra WC off the hallway.

FAQs
